just when is it? I know around Thanksgiving and Christmas a lot of the hotels have a three night, 4th night free deal. I took advantage of that one year and will NEVER do it again just becuase of the crowds. :rotfl:

Hotel rates are usually a little cheaper in the first 3 months of the year. If you have kids, and need to fly, you can sometimes get the kids fly free deal which helps. YOu have to be careful with that one though, if you pick the wrong flights it can be more for them to fly free then to buy them a ticket! Park tickets are cheaper from now until April 26th, then they will be later in the year, due to the play at the kids price promotion. Summer and the holidays are going to be the most expensive.

:goodvibes Thanks!!! I'll be going this summer. Then I want to plan another trip for a relative of mine. I have Feb. 2008 in mind.

I have always found January to be the cheapest and all rides were walkons during both January trips I took. You just can't go on the holiday weekends and try to go during the week if possible and it's amazing.

February is great, just stay away from the weekend of Lincoln's birthday (this year its the weekend of the 10th) and you will be fine crowds wise. Although we went that time in 2006 and even with the crowds it was a great time and we got an amazing deal on Expedia with airfare for four and hotel for five nights for just under $1400 (did not include park tickets, we had ap's). So even on that busy weekend in Feb you can find good deals. Another great, uncrowded time to go (with good deals) is in September, starting after Labor Day (October gets more crowded with fall breaks and Halloween stuff). We have done that a few times, its so hard not to remember those 10 minute standby waits for Space Mtn. in the middle of the day. I'll be thinking about that this June when the waits are 70 minutes or more! That time frame in September I was able to get Paradise Pier for a nightly average of $109 (plus tax) with the stay four nights, get one free deal.
