Cheapest Chicago - MCO flights?

I'm considering taking my sons each for a mom-son weekend to WDW.

We'd fly out of Chicago, either ORD or Midway is fine. Where are the cheapest flights?

Are you close enough to choose Rockford? They were advertising $59 each way in this past Sunday's Wisconsin State Journal.

Check Spirit Airlines--we've always had great deals with them, and they fly out of O'Hare, which I prefer.

I also got an email this morning that Ted (United's discount airline) was offering $124 round trip to Orlando--might be worth checking out.

We just booked ATA in October (after the dates for the advertised promotion) for $59 each way - this is for the earliest flight there and the latest flight back. We had similar fares in January. Try calling Southwest, too, as when we took our niece there was a companion fare special for adults travelling with kids under 12, so one of us flew for half price - this wasn't available online.

If you would consider Gary-Chicago airport, Southeast Airlines is showing $39 each way for many dates. Its just over the border into Indiana and just off I-80/294.

Thus far, we've had the best luck with ATA. We fly on peak days but have still gotten some great bargains with their latest sale. If you decide to book through them, be sure to book directly through their website and sign up for their rewards program. It's free, and you get a free companion ticket after only three round trips.

We got great deals flying with "Ted" part of united... you just have to get the great fare before its sold out - I liked having an assigned seats!

I just got 142rt for Dec 1-5 on Orbitz with American. On American site it was 247.
