Hi all!! I havent been on the boards in about 4 years and forgot my userrname but am pleased to announce I just planned a trip on 11th of March..only 1 week away!! :cheer2: This time I am arriving solo and meeting the rest of my party at our POR. I normally use tiffany town car but this time Im going to be alone and was wondering if anyone could recommend the quickest and cheapest way to go. I will be coming off a european flight and have pretty bad jet lag so I am willing to pay a little extra for a quicker route. Ive looked into the magical express but I dont think ill be able handle the late luggage arrival and multiple stops after a 3 hour layover and an 12 hour flight. Thanks everyone!!!!! :upsidedow

The least expensive would be DME. You mention the late luggage arrival. Since you are arriving on an international flight, you would have to claim your luggage yourself and go through customs. You could then head to the DME location.

DME stops before they get to your resort are pretty quick. In my opinion it is worth the savings.

If you want quickest, then one of the limo services or a cab. I've never done it so I can't tell you how much it costs other than it would be expensive compared to DME.

Hummm...I just read your post again...Are you clearing customs before heading to MCO? If so, then you wouldn't need to claim your baggage...DME could take it for you. If you don't want DME to pick up your baggage and want to use the bus service anyway, then don't put the yellow baggage tags on your bags and get them yourself, then head to the DME area.

Thanks for your reply! Which yellow tags are you mentioning? Do you get them at your departure airport? If so, im not sure if they will have them internationally. Does DME cost anything at all?? Than ks!!!!

DME doesn't send out their packets, with yellow tags, internationally (except for Canada). So, the yellow tags are a non-issue, to the best of my knowledge.
I would just go to baggage claim (which you would have done in any case with a car service), get your bags, then take them to the DME bus with you. The past few times I've taken the DME bus to BW, we have stopped at POR first...you may not make many stops, if any, before getting to your resort.

It should take you about 70 mins via DME vs about 60 mins with a car service. It 'could' take a bit longer than the 70 mins since that's an average, but it certainly won't be longer than 90 mins...I would go with the 70 mins.

That would be my recommendation....especially since DME is complimentary.

There is no 'fee'. Drivers will expect a tip if they handle your bags. I imagine that you would get your bags before heading to the bus...so yes, a tip would be a good idea. We, here in the US, tip about $1-2 per bag.

Oh, and by the way....Welcome to the DIS boards!:woohoo:
