Cheapest airport to fly into?

Hi all. My husband and 2 kids are going to England/Scotland for a 9 day trip. Can anyone tell me which airport usually has the best price on flights. Thanks

London Heathrow will have the biggest choice of flights and therefore lower fares, but the taxes are the highest in the UK. I would also look at Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
