Tampa is also another option since just over an hour from Tampa to Orlando. Southwest has fares for $99.00.

hi there, we are flying to DL in just over 2 weeks...We are on vancouver island, so of course we wanted to fly out of vancouver...well, air canada wanted 3400 dollars for our family of 5 ...we are flying out of seattle for just over 1000 canadian...we actually got our flight and 10 nights in our hotel for way under what air canada wanted for our flight alone($2000 canadian for both)...CRAZY...(air canada eventually came down to 2400 dollars-still way crazy)...sucks, now we gotta drive to seattle but for what we save it is more than worth it...

This is why we just drive down now. When it was just two of us the flight price and cost of driving was comparable. But now that there are four of us by the time we factor in shuttles, car rentals, parking our car at the airport for the week, etc we just can't come close to driving for price. We'd have to find airfare around $99 return for what it costs us to drive.

Same here. When you factor in meals and hotels plus the whining of are we there yet. Much more reasonable for us to fly from Seattle. We'd rather have the extra time in LA - than driving for 2.5 days each way.

Ya we can make it in a little over a day and a half which really isn't too bad. Having one morning person and one night person works out really well...we usually catch the 8ish ferry to Tswassen and get there the next day around dinner. My MIL wants to fly this time but I think we'll probably just drive and meet them down there. Our costs usually work out to $800 after ferry both ways (but we'd have to pay that anyways), the 2 nights hotel, gas and food. I just can't see us getting airfare anywhere near that, then having to pay for transfers etc when we get there.

How many are going? And if you are going soon I have seen 59 flights from seattle one way...but still cheap.
