Cheapest airline rates from NYC-metro area to Disneyland area airports?

Hey! I see that there are a lot of options for airports in California for when going to Disneyland. I was wondering if anyone who is from the NYC-metro area, what airports did you fly out of from NYC and where did you land in California?

John-Wayne seems the closest, but is it more expensive?

Any reccomendations from everyone else?
 
Jet Blue flies from Kennedy to Long Beach. LB is a smallish airport, further than John Wayne, but closer than LAX. Might be an option.
 
We always use SNA John Wayne Orange County and we fly from Newark. We rent a car and drive to Disneyland.
We are planning another trip for Feb 2005 and will fly to SNA.
Continental flys non-stop, Delta requires a change of planes. Delta is around $300RT right now. We have not booked our flights yet, we too are waiting for them to come down a little.

UPDATE: I just booked non-stop Newark to Orange County SNA John Wayne thru Delta Skymiles, on Continental for our February trip. 25,000 miles each + $5.00 each security fee.
Continental only has two non-stops per day and I didn't want to get shut out of the FF seats.
 
If they're running a speical, you could probably get Jet Blue from NY to Long Beach for $99 each way. If you're taknig a shuttle to DL, then it'll run you a little more since Long Beach is further away. I'm not sure how much of your savings it will eat up. If you can get a good fare to SNA, that's only about 15 minutes to DL (sans traffic)
