Cheaper way to add on 5th park day (after the fact)?

We currently have 4 Park Days purchased (park reservations already made) for our upcoming trip in September. We will be staying off-site for this visit, so no package booked- just park tickets. My husband and I have been going back and forth on adding a 5th day, but it looks like the only way to do this is to buy an additional One Day ticket (at the maximum price, boo!), looks like we can't just add on a 5th day and get the cheaper rate since we booked more days. Does anyone know of any cheaper way to add on this extra day? Or advice on converting just one of our 4 days into a park hopper? Originally we planned 2 days at MK, 1 at AK and 1 at HS (our kids are little - both under 3.5yo) but now I am kicking myself... and after hearing all the horror stories of G+ failing miserably at HS I think adding a 5th day and park hopping Epcot + HS would be perfect. 3 days MK, 1 AK, & 1/2 day Epcot with 1/2 day HS. We are not Star Wars people but both kids are huge Toy Story fans so I feel like a half day may be plenty at HS? Thoughts? Advice? HELP!

More details that may be helpful:
WHO: Myself & husband + 2 kids (3.5 and 2.5yo) + 80yo in laws
WHERE: Staying offsite at Wyndham Bonnet Creek
WHEN: September 7th-14th, 2022
WHAT/WHY: Priority is avoiding lines, not hitting big ticket rides (read: small children ). Genie+ purchased for all 4 days that are currently booked. ECV is rented for 80yo in laws as well as double stroller for kids.

You can go to guest relations anytime BEFORE you use your last day to add a day (turn it into 5 day ticket). If you want to do it before you arrive (so you can make park reservations) you’ll need to call. If you add park hopper it is for all days (can’t do one day only unless you buy a separate one day ticket).

OH that is super helpful, thank you! I wonder the likelihood of not being able to get park reservations within a few days...

I can't imagine that happens often, considering AP holders must be able to get in at the semi-last minute... right?

AP reservations are from a different bucket. Regular ticket holder reservations could be sold out but AP could still have availability.
I would try calling. While September is normally slower, other normally slow times this year have been anything but.
If for some reason you can’t do it before you get there, make sure you watch availability for the days you want. I would suggest leaving your 5th reservation for the end of your trip, unless another day starts to book up quicker.
