Cheap places to eat near Seaworld area (Horizons by Marriott)?

We'll be off-site for the first time & driving a rental. The Horizons is near SeaWorld ( I think ) and I'm trying to get a list of inexpensive places to eat & get groceries in that area. Any tips??

Hop on I-4 Westbound (exit is right off Central FL Parkway, at Westwood) and drive one exit up to state road 535. Or drive to the right of I-4 and take a left on Palm Parkway/Turkey Lake Road (same road, two different names), also to 535. You will find every affordable chain restaurant imaginable there.

There are a handful of restaurants by Sea World, but none I would recomend. OK, Flippers Pizza, behind Benngans and Steak and Ale on International Drive, is good. But that's about it.

For groceries, there is a relatively new Super Wal-Mart if you turn right onto Turkey Lake Road (see above), or a very nice Publix if you turn right out of Horizons, then right onto International Drive (by the 7-11). Wal-Mart should take no more than 5 or 6 minutes, Publix no more than 2.

If you head toward SW from Horizons take a right at the light like you are heading to discovery cove, go by the DC entrance until you get to the intersection with International drive. At that corner you'll find a number of cheap places to eat including denny's, wendy's, and KFC. It is almost walking distance from Horizons.

this is between SW and WDW.

turn right out of horizons - then turn right again when this road dead ends (you are now on 535 - International drive ) - when this road dead ends - turn right - get in the left lane immediately - there is a Ponderasus on your left.

there are few things cheaper - that say - the food is only so, so.

the Publix which you will go pass - has some pre cooked package good - you just take back to your villa and warn up. that is probably the best deal.

That Wendys is atrocious--has turned me off the entire chain. Dirty, slow service, occasionally raw food... Service at KFC and Dennys is equally bad, although in fairness, neither has ever served me raw food.

We like Wendy's and have eaten there at least once during our trips. We've never had an issue other then it gets busy sometimes. We ate Breakfast at the Denny's this year without issue.

While we're on the subject (sort of), can anyone suggest a room/bldg for us at Horizons? We want away from the "noise" but with a view of the lake...wait - IS there a lake??

there is a lake but I'm not sure which buildings are best. I can tell you in a year

I've eaten at that Denny's several times and never had a problem. Food is usual Denny's fare nothing special but it didn't taste bad and everyone was friendly. Flipper's is the best for pizza. If you like Chinese, there's a restaurant right next to that Flipper's that's quite good. Typical Chinese restaurant prices.
