Cheap place to stay?

Hi everyone,

We're going to be in Disney on the MYW package May 10-18, but we are actually arriving in Orlando 2 days earlier than that (the 8th) in order to do some other Orlando attractions. I haven't booked a hotel for those 2 days yet- just want something CHEAP- nothing fancy (of course, nothing that I'd be scared to stay in, either ) Any suggestions?

Right now it looks like it might be the Howard Johnsons in Kissimmee- it's only $38/night, and we're renting a car, so transportation isn't an issue. Has anyone ever stayed there? Know of anything better around the same price? TIA

EDIT: Wow, maybe not the Howard Johnsons...I'm reading nothing but horrible reviews i guess you get what you pay for!

How many are in your travel party???

If you don't mind taking a small gamble you could try priceline. If you stay in the 3* range- they are all pretty good hotels in the WDW vicinity. You may be able to scoop something up for the low-mid $40 range. The only downside- is to get the best deal you'll need to wait until you are within about 6-8 weeks, at least, from your trip.

If not try some sites like www.hotelkingdom.com for some really great rates.
