Cheap National 1 day rate?

We are renting from National EA for our 12 day trip in November. I thought it might be cheaper to rent for a week from the airport and then return it to the Dolphin after the week is up. Then we will rent on the day before our departure from the Dolphin and return it to the airport the next day. We don't need the rental car every day so a few days without it is not a big deal. Does this seem like a smart way to save money? I am using the Priceless code and the $20 ent. book coupon for my weekly rental. What I am looking for is the best codes/rates for the 1 day rental. Can anyone help me?

Can anyone please help? I got $41 a day as a rate from National with the Priceless code for an economy. Could I do better?

As to knowing if you can get a better rate: That would require running your dates for each and every car rental agency out there. I'd love to help, but, I don't have the time. One day rentals are not cheap.
