Hi everyone
Based on your feedback on the other thread on 'how long is enough for 5 yr old', we will consider spending few days in DLP. Does anyone recommend a cheap hotel there? Is it practical to stay in Paris and commute by train? The advantage I see in this situation is that we wont have to spend consecutive days in DLP, but as we find suitable. Thanks for the help

If you have a five year old, I think you would be much happier staying in or near DLP - if that is where you're thinking of spending most of your time. You can always commute to Paris if you need a "day off"!!

There are quite a few options for a good value stay near to the park - are there any facilities that you particularly want at your hotel?

Not really. a basic room with private bathroom would be quite enough.

Depending on when you are going, you might be able to get a good rate at the Holiday Inn at DLP. I'll be there in early March, and I am paying 41 Euros (about $49.50) per night....

Good luck with your decision :)

we stayed at the hotel kyriad last dec, very clean and functional, friendly staff, nice basic continental breakfast and on the free disney shutttle bus route, booked through last minute.com and paid apprx £166 for three nights 2 ads 2 kids. would definately stay there again, we left for the parks straight after breakfast, came back about 9pm quick drink in the bar and flopped into bed! they have a small games room, kids play area in reception and a small merry go round for your 5 yr old.

Definately wouldn't recommend dragging a 5 year old back to Paris after a long day at DLP. Espcially if you plan to visit more than 1 day.

Hotel Cheyanne & SAnta Fe are usually reasonable prices. We normally book direct with Disney & buy just accomodation & tickets.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Indeed those 3 hotels mentioned above were the cheapest. Surprisingly, I found that booking the hotel (no breakfast) and buying tickes separately would save 35-40% of Disney package prices! and we are going for that.

Glad you are getting something sorted out :)
Remember you can add your dates to the "when are you going" sticky at the top of the board :goodvibes:
