Yep, I called my principal yesterday morning and got two approved.

And following Jackie's lead...I totally called my principal and she approved the entire week off for me YAY (we get 6 personal days and I'm using 5 of them in Sept/Oct WOOT!!)

What a title!! Whatever can this be in reference to…well our Disney plans of course! Back in January when Paula and I were first just discussing this trip the plan was to use her pin code that she had received for 40% off. Well the first matter of business would have to be WHEN to go. Well that might be the only thing that hasn’t been thrown out the window LOL!!!
We both knew we would like to go during the fall, near MNSSHP, near F&W, and a weekend where Paula could get the week off from work…well as it turned out end of Sept through the beginning of October would work out great. There was a slight plus to that…it would also fall during my birthday and would be near enough to Paula’s that we could celebrate our birthdays at Disney. It also was an easy choice because we knew we would be able to meet up with C (2xcited2sleep) while we were down there. Well that sealed it and so the dates 9/28 – 10/04 were born and there it has stayed…well sort of. Knowing I would have to take the entire week off of school I decided I would go ahead and head down Friday night to Disney so my trip dates would be 9/26 – 10/04. YAY…we have dates and to think that was the easy part!
Then we had to decide on where we would stay…that was a little bit harder. We figured to get the best of the deal we would stay at a value resort. So Paula did some checking and the first value we decided to stay at was

All Star Music! We both were excited and the price to split between the two of us you just couldn’t beat! Paula was fully intending to get her AP upon arrival; I already had mine now we had a resort!!! We were so excited!! I was going to be checking out ASMu in May when I went with LL and she would be heading back to the World during the summer with her boys and then would come our girls’ trip. Then things began to change, plans started to “fly out the window” so you would say. Around this time Paula was making some life changes, she was ready for a new job, well not really a new job but a new place to work. Knowing this might interfere not only with our trip but her summer trip, new suggestions started to be thrown around. Of course we would have to wait and see if Paula would get the new position and either way I really wanted her to!! Well sure enough, she was offered the job (as if anyone had any doubts LOL) and then the real changing began. First we had to make sure those dates would still work and yup sure enough they would (Paula would come in on Monday and I would just start warming up the party for her a little earlier LOL) our girls trip was still on, however there would be a victim to the job change, her boys trip in July. But it all ended well her son got the laptop he wanted so all was well in the Paula household. This all of sudden freed up Paula’s developer points, and that meant a resort change…a BIG resort change. So instead of staying at AsMu all of a sudden we were staying at Saratoga Springs Resort! EEEEEEEKKKKKKK…we were going DVC baby!!! Okay for someone who has stayed only in Values on property I was stunned beyond belief and I think I might have kissed the ground Paula walks on! Paula’s side of the story: She has to use up the developer points or lose them, My side: She’s spoiling us silly…and that’s that LOL! Alright well I might be making Paula seem like a saint and that might not be fair she does have a lot of pirate in her too…but since I’m writing this thing she has to put up with it LOL!

Okay so for the first couple of days while it’s just me I have a studio which I can’t wait to see. Then when Paula arrives we will be moving to a luxiurious 2BR with a Jacuzzi tub…which Paula is very excited about and wishes she could try out today LOL!! So it’s definitely going to be some NICE accommodations!

So that’s where we will be at the lovely SSR (I will have to ask either MEK or Brook if they could post a very nice picture of the resort on here). It is walking distance from DTD, which means many Goofy Candy Co stops and it’s just lovely. I’m over the moon!!!

Well this wouldn’t be a true EXTRAVAGANZA if we didn’t discuss dining. And lo and behold I think I might have lied to you guys…there is something else that hasn’t changed and that would be our dining preference LOL! From the beginning knowing we were going during F&W Paula and I had decided to go all out and I mean all out…and that meant Deluxe Dining. Of course making this decision in January has made it all the easier to make the little payments towards the dining plan LOL!

And that is the basics folks, things have changed and some have stayed the same and things are bound to change in the future! However the one thing that will not change…we are going to live it up to the fullest and have the best time ever!!! We will stay in luxury, eat great food, and spend time with amazing people!

So what can you look forward to…well ADRs…itineraries...special plans…and secret missions!!!

Now for something completely different (for you Monty Python fans out there LOL):

As I mentioned earlier Paula and I are both scrapbookers and I thought it would be fun to post some of my recent work for you to all see. If Paula wants to I’ll have her share some of her work in future posts. These pages are the beginning of my album from my January trip….enjoy!!!

Love the scrapbook pages!! I (cheated...shhhh) did my solo trip in a Creative Memories Milestones album (the kind with the pockets) I loved how it turned out... I've done it for a Washington DC trip too. I need to work on my girls trip from last Feb... it will be traditional. The best part about this album... it was done in a day

you can go on www.creativememories.com and search for a consultant. I'm sure there are lots in your area. They will help you do it too via workshops and stuff if you haven't scapped before. I was a consultant for about 5 years... i gave it up cause I was just so busy with the girls! I miss it though

Thanks, P! I've scrapped before, just never got into Creative Memories. I don't like doing the big books anymore...I don't have the patience so I think those albums would be perfect! The ocd in me likes the perfect lines and everything.

check out the website... they have a nice line of digital scapbooking supplies now too... that might be up your alley as well. I'm working on my 1st digital scrapbook... it's about half done.
