My God, this thing is amazing! I just asked it a question from my exam, and it wrote three whole paragraphs with examples for me, accurately and truthfully!

I asked it "could you give me three examples of truisms in hypnotherapy"

And I got:

Certainly! Truisms in hypnotherapy are statements or ideas that are generally accepted as true or self-evident within the context of hypnotherapy. Here are three examples:

  1. "The mind and body are interconnected."
    • This truism reflects the understanding in hypnotherapy that mental and emotional states can have a direct impact on physical well-being, and vice versa. Hypnotherapy often works with the idea that addressing mental patterns can lead to positive changes in physical symptoms and vice versa.
  2. "Change is a natural and constant aspect of life."
    • Hypnotherapy often operates under the assumption that change is a fundamental and inevitable part of the human experience. This truism encourages individuals to embrace change and utilize hypnotherapy as a tool to navigate and facilitate positive transformations in their lives.
  3. "The subconscious mind influences behavior and emotions."
    • Hypnotherapy commonly acknowledges the role of the subconscious mind in shaping thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. This truism forms the basis for many hypnotherapeutic interventions that aim to access and positively influence the subconscious mind to bring about desired changes in an individual's life.
It's important to note that truisms in hypnotherapy may vary among practitioners, and different therapeutic approaches may emphasize different foundational principles.

WOW!

Obviously it's no substitute for actual learning or tutor interaction, but as a study aid, it's pretty amazing!

I asked it to write a love letter to my husband... lets just say that the house was a rockin' last weekend 😃

In all seriousness, DH asked me to help him write an awards nomination for someone at his work and I used chat GPT. DH was so impressed with the result so I asked Chat GPT for a love letter just to be funny. It was actually a very touching letter. Who knew that AI was so romantic.

I used chatGPT to help write my college letter of recommendations this year. I was able to input a bunch of information on each kid and I used most of what it came up with. Some of what it came up with is not things I would saw or not how I would say them so I made some adjustments.

Never used it but if some college student tries to get it to write a paper for them, they better do a lot of proof-reading before submitting. Documents I have seen online seem to just gather together information from various random online sources. Most of the time the grammar/syntax is clumsy enough that a college professor could easily tell the document wasn't composed by an actual person.

It's certainly not perfect, but on occasion, it's damn close. I posed a question to it, can it write a smoking cessation script for the purposes of hypnotherapy and it constructed a fine speech. Obviously it warrants a once-over, but it was actually close to perfection.

My older son had a professor last semester suggest that they use AI to generate a speech for his communications course. I assume the resulting speech needed tweaking to take out some of the obvious computer-generated language, but as a starting point, apps like ChatGPT can be useful.

Its not perfect, most AI is not currently perfect, but its still pretty amazing.

Thing is where will it be in a year, five years and ten years...

I had an argument with someone yesterday who thinks that AI can never replace them - basically loading trucks for a delivery service.

To think a task like that can never be replaced with AI and robots is ludicrous, it may not be ready today, it may be too slow, but at some point in the near future it will replace all those high paying union jobs - its not a good thing - but its reality unfortunately.

I am pretty blown away by how far AI Image generation (and video) has come.

AI is already starting to compete with real people in things like OnlyFans, and it will just continue to improve.

I saw a video recently of someone using AI to fake a live stream to 1000s of viewers on tic tok. All of a sudden women were interested in him as he was "famous." The club manager moved him to the VIP area. It was all a scam and used AI to view the camera what was going on and generate comments.

People are already using it to write code, it it can get you 60-70% there - it will only improve.

And yeah its a concern and one of the reason I am just playing with it. They key to AI to be able to write the prompt to generate what you want, code, images, video whatever. The better your prompt the better the end result.

Or there's the opposite when a student turns in a paper whose content is obviously above their ability. I had a second year student submit something over the summer that looked like it had been written by a PhD. Yeah, that was an easy catch and they failed the course. $USD1000+ down the drain because they didn't want to write their own journal entry. Pity.

I didn't think I'd be into but it's so helpful...I asked it to help me create an itinerary for HS over the course of a couple of morning and evenings using Genie+ and ILL and it's pretty spot it. It wished me a magical day.

I jus used it on a question I was stumped on. I learned from it, absorbed it, answered my question truthfully and in my own way, and passed the exam. It's important not to take it as anything more than a study aid. For one reason, it's not always 100% correct. Two, it can produce syntax errors. Three, if I plagiarised it my tutors would know and I'd be thrown off you course! And four, if I blindly copy/pasted its answers, I'd never learn anything, and the whole point of my course is to install wisdom.

Love it!!! I have to write accountability documents and letters of reference in my job. Do I have to read and tweak the Chatgbt product carefully? Yes. Does it do an excellent job in 5% of the time it would take me to write the same thing? Yep.
Like it or not it is here to stay. The trick is to learn how to use it efficiently and well.

And imagine what it will be like in a few year's time...

Apparently, for $20 a month, you can upgrade from ChatGBT 3.5 to ChatGBT 4.0, which is more accurate and trawls deeper from the net. Still not convinced it's worth it...

I used it to write my "about me" blurb for a local board i sit on and it did a very good job! I will also use it to meal plan and give me recipes when Im just out of ideas

My daughter uses this one to help her break down tasks and make sure her emails are nicely worded (working on tone right now... lol)
