Seriously I would have asked for this person's supervisor, immediately. Wouldn't Disney love to know that she is suggesting guests vacation elsewhere if they don't like it.

She hung up on me. I did the survey at the end and started to call back but wrote an email instead to ensure I speak to somebody higher up than a floor supervisor. Then I posted here.
 
My guess is that they are being told they need to be encouraging about the changes. Attitudes are infectious and Disney is all about trying to create a false positive and wiping out negativity. Have you ever posted any negative comments to their blogs? The comments will NEVER be posted. ;) None of this, however, is an acceptable excuse for the Cast Member's comments to you.

Although they probably can't really tell you anything else but the mandatory, sorry about that. Still it'll be nice if they can find the tape. At least it'll be interesting :)

Hope your trip goes well. Your post pretty much described how we are feeling about Disney these days.....except for the hero characterization. I get that they are a corporation (as I am sure you do) but it was always the magical place for our family. We have a trip (Dec.20-Dec.24) with 3 days tentatively planned in the parks. That may drop to 2 days depending on how our touring goes the 1st two days.

One thing I learned after 12 years of dealing with Disney is that information from cast members is inaccurate more times than it is accurate.



Has this poster been advised that they are not required to use a magic band? They can ask for an RFID card to use.

If they are staying at Pop, they can't get a card that are FP+ enabled. They would be restricted to FP- only.
 
I received a phone call already. The phone transaction was reviewed. Disney is apologetic and reviewing further.

- Disney provided compensation. I didn't ask for anything.

CM: Well, if it were not for technology than you would not be able to read the message boards on the internet right? So it is also technology that is making all of these changes possible so that you have a more simplified vacation. Right?

Funny how that same technology worked all of this out for you (and not for her...)

I've grown accustomed to snarky customer service across most industries over the years. I've encountered it (at smaller percentages) at Disney. It would be nice, though, if Disney can continue to make sure they hold their customer service to a much higher standard. It's part of the "magic" that they sell. Snarky, condescending cast members really mess with that image of "magic."
