hi....planning on doing some shopping, I was under the impression that I could use my Disney Visa and save 10% at World of Disney but am now getting conflicting info on this....does anyone else know? Where else can you use this for merchandise and save with the parks?

Thanks!

The info for the new Star Wars Visa cards specifically says it can not be used in the World of Disney stores at the parks. I could not find any info regarding in park purchases. I haven't been able to find any more specifics about the new Star Wars cards but based on that small bit of info I'll be staying with my current Disney Visa card. If they have dropped the discount for WOD on that it really won't matter since I have an AP but I can see it being an issue for those who don't have an AP.

I just re read the info again and it says select stores, well where?? And says not Workd of Walt because it's not operated by Disney stores, last time we were here in Oct 2013 we received the 10%, I can't believe they have changed it, very disappointed now.

When I was there in the spring I only received 10% off for purchases over $50

maybe I'm just reading this wrong:
5. Merchandise Savings at Disney Parks
A $50 minimum pre-tax single transaction merchandise purchase is required to receive discount. It looks like World of Disney is covered under the discount.

I see what the misunderstanding is...under the Disney Store discount tab they have this:
* Merchandise Savings at Disney Store

It is confusing

So it looks like you get the discount at any store in the parks (except those specifically listed)? Wasn't aware of this but will take advantage of it on our upcoming trip (assuming I'm reading it right).

you just have to spend $50 or more at once.
From my personal experience I have got discounts at World of Disney, Basin, Once Upon a Toy (all at DTD)
Inside the parks basically all merchandise stores, minus the carts and the specific experiences listed

I always ask if they offer the Disney Visa discount at any store I'm making a purchase of $50+ when I'm at Disney World. I know in June I received the discount at Uptown Jewelers in MK; Mousegears in EP; and World of Disney at DTD/DS. And just a side note, I was asked for photo ID when I used my Disney Visa at each of those places. I don't know if they would have allowed the purchase/discount if I hadn't had my photo ID with me. I don't remember having to show ID before.

They list the Disney Store discount separately from the on property discounts because they are separate entities within The Walt Disney Company (TWDC).

You say you got the discount at Uptown Jewelers, just wondering if you bought Pandora charms. If that is the case I may have to get more than 1 charm:laughing:

I just applied to have my card image change. I assume no perks of the card are changing with the Star Wars card? I see here you said the 10% is no longer valid at the world of disney shop at DTD? Was this a recent change?

it still applies at WoD. It's just worded differently and confusing. I got my Vader card yesterday and it's awesome :)

We have gotten the 10% off of $50+ discount at every store we've shopped at in all of the parks and DTD.

All Disney Visa cards (regardless of design) are eligible for all of the perks & benefits.

The In Park Discounts are listed separately from the Disney Store discounts as they are separate entities within The Walt Disney Company (TWDC).

I didn't buy any Pandora charms, but I did get the discount on a Dooney & Bourke Haunted Mansion bag...which shocked me. I didn't think they were included in the discount and I'm pretty sure I did *not* get the discount when I bought one in 2013 at the same place. It certainly can't hurt to ask if the discount applies to Pandora charms. :-)
