Chase Southwest bonus and Disney GC at Sam's ?

Sam's takes Visa cards now. I used mine there for the last several months.

I don't have much to offer on this conversation other than to say the bonus miles for SWA officially take 6 to 8 weeks to hit your account. We're actually waiting on our bonus points to hit our account in order for us to qualify for the companion pass. I know however there are people who have reported getting them much earlier than 6 to 8 weeks. Just wanted to bring that up if for whatever reason you were planning on buying your plane tickets within 8 weeks of you making the $2,000 mark.

Thank you for all of the advice! I went ahead and went online to Sam's website and did go ahead and buy a $500 gift card with my Disney VISA for $475.97 and it did tell me that there was a limit of one.

I will buy some more after we get the Southwest VISA. I would like to buy four more $500 Disney gift cards. Do you think it will let me buy that many if I do them a few days apart?

I have bought two so far. I waited till my first one was received before i placed my second order. I need to order one more to be finished paying for our trip.

IDK, but I bought 450.00 worth of dis gc's at sams the other day,and used a visa card to pay part of it no problem..... just go in store to buy your gc's if you need to--- as far a swa bonus points if you tie it right,and hit that 2k spend about a week before the statement closes, you may get your points when it closes wight afterward...many do. just know it can take a little longer sometimes.

Cool, cool, COOL!! I gave up my Sam's membership in November 2015. BJ's had just opened and as there are only 2 of us in our household, I thought it silly to have two warehouse club memberships. I went with BJ's because it's easier to get to their gas pumps and because they took VISA and Sam's didn't. It was a pain to go to Walmart, buy a gift card, and then go to Sam's. As attractive as the merchandise is at BJ's, I discovered they don't have as many of the things we regularly buy as Sam's does, and have been re-thinking my decision and considering going back to Sam's. Now that they take VISA, it makes the decision easy!!

If you are getting a Sam's membership, be sure to check Groupon, Swagbucks or other rebate-like sites. Groupon often has a nice incentive for joining Sam's.
