Chase Freedom Q1 2018 5% cash back

I just activated my card for next quarter and noticed this:

Internet/Cable/Phone Services only purchases for internet, cable, satellite television, radio, cellular, wireless data, and landline services will qualify. Please note that purchases of equipment are not included. In addition, if you purchase or pay for your internet, cable and satellite television, phone or related services in a merchant's store that is not classified by the merchant in the applicable services category, the purchase or payment will not qualify; for example, phone bill payments in a merchant's store that is classified as a telephone equipment store.

Looks like 5% cash back on cable and cell phone bills.

Don't forget it also includes gas stations and mobile pay like Chase Pay, Samsung and Apple pay.

Where do you guys get this information? Just curious. I am asking because I have a Chase Freedom Unlimited card, but I rarely get e-mail announcements for them. For instance, I used it for the Cash Back during this month at Best Buy and Wal-Mart...but only heard about that on this website, because they never let me know. Thanks!

The Freedom card is different than the Freedom Unlimited. The Freedom has 5% on rotating categories that change 4x per year and the Freedom Unlimited is a flat 1.5% on purchases. Hope this helps!

Where did you see that Chase has groceries for Q2? They did last year, but the 2018 calendar that @CalDisneyMomof2 linked to above just says "Coming Soon" for everything past Q1.

You were probably looking at 2017. I’m 99% sure they have not released anything past Q1.

Chase 5% also includes mobile wallets such as Apple Pay/Chase Pay/Samsung Pay/Android Pay. Easy max out if you have a somewhat modern phone.

Not too sure about the mobile pay with my phone so thinking I may just go the route of gift cards at gas stations for this quarter. Anyone else thinking this? Of course I would pay my phone and internet too with the CF.
