Charmama4 and family's trip to Disneyland!!!!

We didn't request any extras like the bed being turned down......maybe it was & i just didn't really notice.....but there were always chocolates left on the bed!!!!! I brought all of them home for everyone to enjoy!

As for ordering little extras, call Vacation Planning at 714-300-7526 & ask them to email you a list of their baskets & ammenities.....even if you don't order anything.....it's still fun to look & dream!!!

Vacation planning will also handle all your PS!!!!! They are a great FREE service that can take care of the resies, if you want to do a tour, room service goodies, leaving the party pack bags (the ones we got for the kids for their birthday), gift baskets, etc. So give them a call & they can take care a lot of the work for you!!!! A hidden gem of staying at one of the 3 resorts.

Well, if it's free!!!! Of course we'll be having our beds turned, a tidy up and by all means the chocolates!!!

I'll be sure to call and have them email whatever they offer. Thanks DizNee Luver!

Haven't added anything lately and actually things have been quiet. We took a break from our studies and now it's back to the grind. We are about to wrap up Ancient Greek history before we head to Disneyland!!! I think I'll try my hand at some baklava. I destroyed the Mousaka!!! It was horrible, but it was an experience the kids and I will remember!!!

We made a Disneyland countdown chain and Erin is up before her brothers so she gets to take a link off each morning. And now that my ticker is going by weeks and days I'm getting real excited.

Took our *bears* into the vet yesterday to get their shots so they can stay at the kennel. I call them bears because Oso means bear in Spanish and Bjorn also means bear in Swedish. We get a kick out of it!!

So, the plane tickets are bought, the train tickets are bought, the hotel in Denver is reserved, the hotel in DL is reserved with MANY notes attached of what we possibly want, the rental car is reserved incase my suburban says, "no, I don't feel like running to Denver today":lmao:. PS have been made for Ariel's Grotto, Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, Blue Bayou and Rain Forest Cafe. I'll be picking up my parents DL hoppers in the next couple of days from the base MWR office. So, there's pretty much nothing for me to do except wait, dream and pack (eventually). Actually I've already started to pack!!!

Well, that's it for now.

Getting close.....sounds like you have everything ready!!!

So no Goofy's Kitchen??? Ariel's is so regal like (I'm assuming you're doing this after your salon treatment?). The Blue Bayou has really gone thru some changes this past month......$12 split plate charge & they revamped the menu (no more appetizers)..... I have no idea if they upped the prices during all of this or not. It was very good.....but not $40 a plate good!!!! Wonder if anyone has current prices you could look over so not to be :scared1: shocked when the bill comes.......
We love the Rainforest Cafe. Do you have the "Safari Club" card?? If not, pay the $15 & fill out app while you're there, you'll save the 10% off your meal & you also can get 10% off on merchandise.

Did you call Vacation Planning yet????? It really is a neat little bonus to come into your room after a day at the park & find cookies & milk or a little surprise for the kids.

Oh my gosh did I forget GK?:scared1: Add GK, we will be doing that our check out day on Wednesday before we catch our train.

$12 dollars to split a plate:eek: maybe we will just go for desert;) I may just have to try a monte cristo next door, ya know?

Thanks for the tip about the safari club card.

calling the Vaca. plan. today.

Yes, Erin will be *transformed* before having lunch with the princesses!! I showed Scott the pictures Mary Jo posted and now he wishes he was going too!!! It'll be a day that she will talk about forever!

Remember your suntan lotion.:goodvibes

already packed, hehehe. Like I said I already started to pack. All of our toiletries and first aide, med's, etc. are packed. the kids activity travel back packs are done with markers and crayons, books, reading books and word searches. All they is little snacks with some starbursts tucked in;)

I hope the heat wave blows over before we get there though. It would be a tremendous shock to our systems after having been in cold weather with snow.

When we went last March (08), we left home in 25 degree weather & arrived in Anaheim at 95.....thought we were gonna die!!! We had been watching the weather down there & no talk about that type of heat....... they were as shocked as we were!!!!!

Yup, the $12 split plate thing kind of shell-shocked us when we went at the end of March, but it's true. Although for us the quality of the food was worth it, which surprised me because all we had been hearing about lately was how everything had gone downhill.

So, this morning Connor comes up to me and sticks his foot in my face and says this hurts. He was pointing to the outer part of his left foot with a exaggerated bump on the side. I checked the other foot to see if there was a difference there was not. So, I call the base clinic and our dr. is full. Protocal is to send us to the urgent care in town. The xray confirmed a fracture!!! We have no idea how Connor did this, I'm stumped. :confused3 Any-who, he has an othropedic appt in the am so we will find out more. Till then he is wearing one of those walking boot thingys.

Scott said we may be able to use this to our advantage, hmmm......

Poor guy, it must hurt. Hmm it truly could help you to get in the handicap entrance. At lest I think it would.

Poor little thing...... isn't it weird when kids get phantom injuries???? We still don't know what Shyann did to her finger.....it looked broke, but the xray was negative..... we're guessing a dislocation that popped back in, but not sure....it was black around both knuckles & was 3 times the size....better now but still one of those.....huh???? what happened??? :confused3

Hope they don't cast him! Tyler had a walking boot in the beginning & then they decided to cast him for 6 weeks.....ugh it was awful for him. Then he went back to the boot......

Keep us updated!!!

What's weird is that he says it really doesn't pain him unless he presses on it real hard. Either he's trying to be my big guy and not come out with it or he has a high resistance to pain. Will let ya know.

It is weird!!! I'm at such a loss as well as he is. Yes, if kids are keeping you on your toes with pushing the limits they are keeping you on your toes with the phantoms boo-boo's!!

I'm glad that Shyann's finger is back to normal, she knows how to keep you on your toes, eh?

I hope they dont' cast him either, gosh. His bedroom is downstairs also. But, yes, will keep ya posted.

Well, Connor went to the dr. yesterday and she said that he needs to wear the boot for 4 weeks. My reply was, "ok so we get to bring the boot with us to DL". The dr. then changed the time and wants to see Connor the day before we leave to take an xray and assess then.

So, it's not a huge fracture, something that will heal itself without being casted. We still don't know if he has to wear the boot at DL but at least there is a possiblility he won't.

Well if he has to wear the boot at DL, he can slip that off & put on a sandal for the water rides!!!! That is an advantage over a cast!!!!!
Hopefully he'll get cut loose from the boot before the trip.....but even if he does, I'd bring it just in case he starts feeling pain or a little "weak" from not using his foot like normal...... just a suggestion!!
DL is a lot of walking & he may not be quite up to it..... Tyler felt weak for a few weeks afterwards & used the boot when he said it didn't feel quite right.
   <-------just because.......

I hope he doesn't need it for Disneyland expecially if it is as hit as it has been recently.

I did think about just bringing it, too. You just never know and with an already fractured foot I thought I would be safe and just bring it, ya know. It's not that big and would probably be a comfort for Connor as well.

What I am afraid of is someone inadvertantly knocking him over because his balance is off with the boot on. But, I know the mother bear will come out and he'll be protected.

are you saying it's been busy lately?? I am worried if Connor has to wear the boot his balance will be off and get knocked down. Like I said earlier, mother bear will be in full force to protect her wounded cub.

My bad. I need to proof read. I meant hot.:rotfl:
