Charmama4 and family's trip to Disneyland!!!!

My first was born in San Diego, my second in Escondido, CA, my third was in Acworth. We were a transport. It was a planned homebirth but after 24 hours of my water breaking with no baby, my midwife wanted me to go to the hospital. It wasn't where I wanted to be but the end result was a perfect 9 pound:scared1: baby boy!!

We weren't in GA long, just 2 years. My DH won't let me put east coast bases on our "dream sheet", at least not this time. Maybe our next next one.

Ok, now that the boards are up. What were they trying to do anyways? Does this happen often? Curious....

Any-who...ah yes the rest of the plan:
May 17- this is a MM for us so, we will be up with the chickens:lmao: to get ready to go on some rides!!!!
Erin will be *transformed* at BBB then it's off to AG for some lunch. We went 2 years ago and she had a blast. That year she had her two grandma's with her so it was real special. Don't think it'll happen this year though. The boys are on their ownpirate: during all of this!! It's mother/daughter time!!princess:

These were taken in 2007. She had Princess Aroura in a 5minute conversation!!! It was pricesless. It's that kind of attention that will make me a loyal AG patron. The look on her face when she's with the princess was so angelic, like she was so comfortable and all was right with the world!! Enjoy....

I see them!!!! That campsite is beautiful. It is getting me in the mood to go through the garage and air out the tent. But, there's two weather systems coming and that usually means wind (gotta love Wyoming wind) and my tent would fly to Nebraska:lmao:

Love the pictures, your kids look great!!! They look like they have great humerous, generous personalities!!

Your daughter is a cutie-pie!!!!!

The princess meal at Ariel's really was fun to watch the kids faces!

Oh they are something alright. I love that campground. The only downfall for some is you park in a parking lot and haul all of your stuff in.

Your daughter is so cute. Aurora seemed so attentive to what your daughter was saying and that is so wonderful.

Thanks, DizNee Luver. Gotta watch her like a hawk though, those wheels are always turning to get herself into some mischief!!;)

She has NO idea that we are going to BBB!!!! I can't wait to see her face.

So, you have to haul some camping stuff in. That's what kids are for:lmao:
The kids are used to extra chore duties when we go camping. My oldest actually asked when we were going home so he could rest:rotfl2:

Aurora was extremely attentive and it was so cool for Erin. I hope that the same Aurora will be there. I hear the food is better than the last time we went. Hey DizNee Luver, what did you think about the food when you went?

Yeah I do tend to "let" them help us, but we have gone without them and honestly there isn't much less stuff when don't have them. Thankfully they do have a rolling garbage can that has never been used for garbage to help you haul your stuff in. And believe me we have, but a lot of it is uphill and not even ground. But it is so worth it, to me it is quieter and so nice because the cars aren't right where you are at.

:sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:
I dont' think that is enough "sad" guys to describe the way I am feeling. I am crying at the keyboard. I am usually the most postive person and can always find the postive and I WILL by gosh!!!! But, right now I need to cry it out!!!

First of all I found out that my parents will be able to make it:woohoo: ( I wasn't sure in the beginning so didn't mention it so to jinx it). BUT, when my mom asked me to see if I could get the military rate on the DLH room I said yes. I figured if all of the rooms were on the one card (ours) that there wouldn't be a problem.......hold on....blowing nose.....

So, when I called my Dad to tell him the bad news (the third room would have to have a military ID also) I can hear the disappointment in his voice however, he said that they'll work it out.

Just a little history, my mom just started a new job, had to sell one of her beloved horses, and hardly see her DH because he is a truck driver.

Anyways....sniffle.....to make matters worse, the guilt, the disappointment, the frustration, my suburban is broke!!!! Granted it's an older one but we NEED that damn (pardon the language, anger setting in now) suburban!!!! It's either the battery or the alternator. DH is working on it now. Either way, it threw a huge wrench in the plan.

We can't NOT go to DL because the military deal tix are non refundable!!! The airline tix are bought as well as the train tix. ****sob****

My whole entire plan for DL revolved around the DLH and now there is no way we can afford it and help alleviate my parents extra cost. UGH!!!!!!!

Deep breath....OK new plan.....I guess that a positve for a planner such as myself, huh? Back to drawing board and thanks so much for listening. It really does help to get it out of my head. Positive vibes are coming out!!

First off you need this. One thought is there are a lot of hotels in the area that are as close as the DLH, so although they are not as Disneyfied you are still there. That is a thought. Good luck with the suburban.

Hey thanks for the hugs. I am off of my pitty pot. I just needed my 5 minute woa is me cry. I did call the one hotel (Fairfield Inn) that we have stayed at before and reserved two rooms. I am saving my parents and I alot of money (about a grand:cool1:) and we aren't that far away from the parks. Plus, when we get off the train we will save $30 on taxi's by taking the ART. So, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, the silver lining is showing on the clouds, Disney magic is touching me...again.

It was just so disappointing, ya know. But, we are STILL going, we are just on the other side of the Esplanade, and the only other thing I have to change is my PS to a later time at GK.

I haven't told my parents yet, but I'm sure they won't mind the change when I tell them how much money I just saved them, hehehehe.

Also there is no reason you can't visit the ground of the DLH. And honestly if they were running the deal I am using using the Fairfield I would probably stay there myself. I just want to be within walking distance because once I park I do not plan on going near my van again. And as far as your pity party I would be the same way myself.

You know what's funny....? I was thinking about Fairfield Inn when we found out about the military tickets. But, then I got wind of the DLH having a special for military so we went that route.
I remember the beds and I *know* they are comfy. The rooms were airy and roomy and the boys fought over the little pull out seat. When were there last, they were renovating the Pizza Hut and mini store area. It's all ready for us now!!!
So,the more I think about I am liking it. I do want to go check out the DLH though. And we will definately be there for breakfast at GK.

I am so excited that everything is working out for you. I have heard great things about the Fairfield, and as I live in Fairfield I think it is a good thing.:goodvibes Also honestly the Fairfield is newer.

Char...... so sorry about the DL Hotel thing..... but you know it will all work out!!!! Definately plan in a couple hours to take in the grounds & memorabilia..... maybe prior or after your Goofy's Kitchen meal!!!

As for Ariel's....... we have always like the food there. I enjoyed the breakfast better than the lunch & dinner. I think because it was a standard breakfast to get you going but the lunch & dinner tend to be heavier & rich.....so don't like to eat like that & then go run around the parks.

Hey thanks DizNee Luver for the warm thoughts. I really appreciate everyone sending good vibes:goodvibes Ya know, the next day after a big disappointment is such a new beginning.

My DH comes to me early this morning and says, "Do you think your mom and dad mind sharing their room with 2 or the kids?" Needless to say I was confused. I said, "they will be at the Fairfield, so...." His response (this is why I married him:love:), "They can share at DLH too!" "HUH!!!WHAT????, " I say. :cool1:

I am soo glad I haven't had the chance to cancell DLH ressies. There was a reason for that I guess, my DH is working his magic on things.

Doesn't that make more sense? This way my parents will be able to use our military discount rate because there will be 2 ID's for 2 rooms.:woohoo: AND, the best part: The kids get to use the NeverLand Pool!!!!! They have been getting excited about that and it was breaking my heart yesterday when I thought I had to cancell it on them.

Oh thats wonderful! Good DH!:cool1:

So, I thought I was going to have to change things and was starting to be ok with it then my DH had to go and change the plans again!!!!

But, I"m not complaining one bit......So, here's the plan....

May 15- hotel near airport after DH gets home and changes out of BDU's. Have some dinner, go in the pool (have zip bags for wet suits) and get a good night sleep.

May 16- get to airport for our 9am flight. Arrive in SD and have 2 hours to get to train station. Have In and Out burgers:cool1: for lunch. Get on train and arrive in Anaheim at 2pm. Get to hotel with Grandma and Grandpa waiting in the lobby to surprise kids. Check in and get to the pool!!! Mom and I will probably take this time and walk and look around. Have PS ressies at RainForest Cafe at 6pm. Then it's to bed early for early rise.

May 17-our MM day, so up with the chickens, and to the gates around 6:30am. Ride some rides and meet Grandma and Grandpa at River Belle Terrace for breakfast. Erin has her *transformation* appt at BBB and lunch with the princesses. Boys are on their own!!!!

May 18-Plan to do DCA on this day and no PS to plan around.

May 19- The only thing we have to plan our day around is our PS ressies at 2:30pm at BB. Before and after are on the whim of the whatever!!!

May 20- check out day:sad2: But, to send us off with a bang we are having breakfast with Goofy at GK at 9am. Grab train, get on the plane and it's off to the Oso (dog) and Bjorn (cat) waiting patiently for our arrival.

So, that's the plan. In between PS ressies, I want to try everything that I have seen pictures or has been mentioned on this board. Dole whip is a must and one of those corn dogs at DCA is high on the priority list too.

Thanks everyone for reading my TR, this really helps things get organized in my head. And again thanks for the warm thoughts when things got frustrating.

Erin wanted to have a tea party with her daddy.:lmao: Not sure what they were thinking with the hat:rotfl2:

At one point he had on a purple shawl (he took it off before I could get a picture:rolleyes1) and was talking with a real high shrill voice. Kinda sounded like Robin Willaims in Mrs. Doubtfire. ;) He's my goofball!!!

Hooray....so you ARE staying at the DL Hotel then????? I'm so glad the grandparents are going to be there to surprise the kids.......fun!!!! You guys are going to have a great trip.....I just feel it!!
