Charmama4 and family's trip to Disneyland!!!!

Oh my gosh, it's 2 more days till we leave for the airport hotel!!!! If I didn't have so much to do, I'd be freaking out!! Yea right, I'm still freaking out!!:lmao::lmao:

just got home from the ortho. dr. office and.........the boot can come off!!!!!
we are still bringing it with us though. we'll just stow it in a locker in case he needs it. he's real happy he doesn't have to wear his "friend" all day long!!!

Oh yay! I am glad to hear it. And I think it's a good idea to have it along. Nothing says he has to wear it but I am a firm believer of better safe than sorry. I am so excited for you. The time is getting so close.:yay:

Wow - 3 days away! I still can't believe how quickly time flies. It seems like it was two months until your trip just last week!:lmao: The weather has been nice this week. Last week was way too hot, and then this week cooled down to nice temps in the '70s, though it always feels hotter than that while in Disneyland, with the sun beating down. Hopefully the weather will stay this way for your trip. (I am NOT a hot weather person at all ["hot" being anything above, say, 75 degrees] and I get very sick in the heat, which is why I have avoided summer DLR trips since 1995, so am actually cursing the fact that my birthday is mid-summer and the only way I can get my Fun Card is to go on that day. It will probably be the quickest DLR trip of my life, unless we have a fluke cold spell in late July, but at least I will have my Fun Card!!)

So are you not doing Goofy's Kitchen after all? (I have been behind on reading the updates.) If you are still doing it, I can't wait to get the scoop on your Goofy's meal when you get back. The reviews on Goofy's have been so mixed lately - people either seem to love it and are totally satisfied with the food and the character interaction and love it more than the other character meals, or they say the food was not good and the character interaction was bad and it is their least favorite. There is no in between on Goofy's, it seems! One extreme or the other!

Hey SherryE, it is getting closer and I have been watching the weather. I can soo handle 75-80 degree weather. It's been windy around here, 30-40mph in somecases (just a light breeze in Cheyenne Wyoming standards:lmao:) In the mood for some warmer weather and fun in the sun with Mickey!!!

Yes!! We are doing GK. We'll have breakfast there on our check out day. Can't wait.

My friday schedule:
As soon as Scott gets home from work (4:30pm or so), he'll change out of BDU's and we all jump into the suburban, which will be already packed since.....today:rotfl2:!!

Get to Comfort Inn in Aurora CO near the airport. This hotel has 3 queen beds, free parking with 24/7 shuttle service to the airport. The price was right and just love the park/shuttle deal too.

We'll get to bed around 8:30-9pm. Noticed I said "get to bed" not go to sleep, because getting to sleep is going to be next to impossible!!!!:lmao:

My Saturday schedule:
5:30am wake up, grab some breakfast in the lobby, plan on bringing some baggies for extra snack on the airplane.
7am get to airport in time to go through check in and security
9am board plane
10am (CA time) get off plane, grab luggage (matching with LGMH and "patches";)), hitch a ride with Scott's parents, from airport to train station, which will have In and Out double doubles for us!!!!!
12pm board Amtrak
2pm pull into Anaheim, catch a cab to the hotel and attempt to check in early (keep your fingers crossed:goodvibes)
This is when the kids will see that their grandparents surprise them!!!! I am dreaming of them waiting for us in the lobby and Hunter exclaiming, "GRANDMA....GRANDPA!!!!"
I want to decorate our room doors (I'll try to remember to take pictures)
change into our swim stuff and go to the pool.
Scott will go to the gates and trade in our vouchers for the hoppers.
6pm dinner at Rain Forest Cafe
8pm bed, at least lay down with eyes wide open signing "m..i..c..k...e..y..."

let me know how this all sounds. I'll post our Sun, Mon., Tues, and Wed., later tonight!!

I can't wait to hear how the surprise goes!!!! Looks good so far!!!

I can't believe you're starting the adventure tomorrow evening!!!!!! It's almost here!!! If by chance I don't get back on here before you leave........ Have the bestest, most magical trip ever!!!!!!! :yay: I can't wait to hear & see how it went when you get back.

Tell Goofy hi for me & Sherry when you eat at Goofy's Kitchen!!! :cheer2:

forgot to mention.....when we get to the hotel I'll pick up postcards and do my fairy godmailer duty, hehehehe. Plus pick up some for the kids friends and family.

OK so here's Sundays schedule and it's hectic one. no rest for the weary!!

7-8am early entry (MM)
10am meet mom and dad at River Belle Terrace for breakfast
12pm Erin gets *transformed* at BBB (total surprise for her)
2pm lunch at Ariel's Grotto (dca)
3:45pm Totem Ceremony (dca)
5:50pm Alladin show (dca)
8:30pm stake out seating arrangements for the fireworks show.

I didn't expect to park hop except to go to AG for lunch but there were a lot of things that weren't going to be showing or closed during the week. We missed the Totem ceremony last time and the Redwood area was going to be our meeting spot after our lunch with the princesses. The Alladin show was a must for me as I missed it last time.

Things in between will be filled with rides, shopping and hanging with the Evil Queen, if I can find her!!!!!

My brother, wife and daughter are planning to come this day also. That's what mom says but who knows, they may come they may not. That's my bro and expect no less:laughing:

Oh I am so excited for you. This all sound so wonderful. :goodvibes

Here's Monday's schedule:

Disney California Adventure day

10am open up the park
5:40 Pixar parade
6pm park closes

This day is going to be easy going (compared to Sunday:lmao:) I just want to see all the new things present and future. Eat, shop and ride the rides!!!! After the park closes we want to check out the GH and have dinner. Scott has plans to leave the kids with grandma and grandpa so we can take a jacuzzi....alone!!!!! I like the way he thinks;)

Tuesday's schedule:

8-9am early entry (MM)
7pm catch the parade over by IASW
9pm park closes

Another fly by the seat of your pants kind of day. I do want to get those sillouette pictures done. Scott wants to see the Round up BBQ to decide if we want dinner there or not. I have many things I want to see and do, have my list ;) Sunday is planned to be such a chaoti day that I wanted to have Mon. and Tues. to be easy going. We were going to do BB on this day but I cancelled it to save money for more shopping!!!!

Wednesday is going home day:sad1:

GOOFY'S KITCHEN at 9am
11am check out
1pm catch the train
5:40pm catch the plane
9pm touch ground in Denver and long drive home in total silence I'm sure.

Scott came home early and Ahhhhhhhhhh we are on our way!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone for hanging with me, waiting with me and listening to me.

You are back from the trip - I saw you had posted on another thread! Don't keep us in suspense too long! How was the trip?:cool1: Did you get to feel the earthquakes?:yay: Did Goofy's Kitchen go over well, or did it tank?:lmao: Should I wear protective gear and run for cover for suggesting it, or am I safe on the DISboards?:rotfl::rotfl:

I"m back and dealing with PVD (post vacation depression):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I didn't think I'd feel this sad:confused3 but coming here and helping out other DIS'ers plan their vacation is helping.

My house looks like a tornado hit it with clothes, empty suitcases, souvineers strewn about and to-go boxes all over because I haven't had the chance to visit the grocery store.:lmao:

We did have a blast though and I will be posting my TR once I get all my ducks in a row.

Welcome back Char!!! Sorry I haven't read thru the report yet, been dealing with a headache & such....but promise I'll be back on to catch up...can't wait to hear how things went!!!! By the way, I did see your post in the main site....my heart is still racing from the title!!!!! :rotfl2:

Hope you are getting over the post-Disney depression.......it's hard not to think about all the good times & fun when you leave!! Our trips were in March & April & we still talk about them daily!!! Hope you're doing ok & can't wait to share in your good time when you get the chance!!!!
