DH likes to drive at night and I am all for getting to Disney as early as I can, so he woke us up at 2:30 AM and we were on the road by 3 AM. We all tried to sleep while he drove. DH can take an 8 hour drive and make it in about 6.5 hours by driving at night. Also, so speed laws may have been broken.

Your DH is a smart man. Driving at night is the best way to go.

But it went really fast. After that, we saw a Dad helping his toddler pee in the bushes. Way to stay classy, dude !! There was a restroom real close by, too. I just don't get it.

And I thought peeing the bushes at EPCOT was just reserved for the over 21 crowd in the World Showcase.

The kids like Mexican food so we went to La Cantina de San Angel for lunch.

Always a winner in my book!

And how many hours without sleep was he working with at this point?

DH's mug deactivated somehow and we had to get it reactivated. For the most part it was OK, but it was a pain at times when it wasn't working right.

I work with an RFID system everyday at work and I'm not crazy at all about Disney making everything RFID for that very reason. When it works, it is wonderful. When it screws up, it is a pain in the butt.

I love TT too. I love the Tronness of the revamp, and the post show is killer. Miss the story of the old one though.

I had nachos too on this trip. Wish I had someone to share them with.

That's a bummer you had cup issues. I bought one on this trip b/c I like the pretty purple color. Since I don't do the dining plan or drink sodas I don't have a dog in the fight in this whole RFID mug thing. I do like that if I want the mug for a souvenir that it will only cost me $9 instead of $15 like it used to.

Again, this man needs no sleep. He finds amusement in base things. As do I. We are classy like that.

We had this discussion, actually. I would say Bay Lake because it has a sleeper chair and DS does not like sleeping with DD. It also has two FULL bathrooms. DD would chose Beach Blub for the pool. Which was REALLY awesome. I love them both !!

Day 1 – Part 4 – Dismeet !!

We eventually made it over to the campfire area and greeting and hugs were exchanged all around. I gave out gifts and asked DH to take some photos. He took this

Next up – Tammy and I



And then Tammy, Colleen and I



And saving the best for last – Me and my bestie Lauren. We have been friends since we were twelve years old. She is one of the MAIN reasons I love Disney so much.



One of the little boys took his red crayon and started drawing on the big movie screen. Oops !! Colleen fussed at him to stop and he was like “but I’m making art here!” He thought that big white screen was his art board. I hope they were able to get it off. It was down at the bottom, so you had to look to really see it. But it was funny.

We played Disney trivia for a short time and then it started to rain, so they closed the campfire down. We weren’t ready to leave so we went over to Tammy’s camper which was set up very close by.

Tammy and her family got a great price for this camper. She and her handy husband were able to transform it into the Mickey Mobile. Here is a link to her Pinterest page that shows you what it looks like inside.

It is so awesome.

We stayed and chatted for quite a while and the kids played in the rain.

Tammy got some photos of all of them together.





It was hard to get them to all look at the camera at the same time.

It was a great night and it was so awesome to see everyone. It was a bummer that it rained, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. We tried to reconnect again during the trip, but everyone was just in different directions and Colleen had to leave the next day.

After a couple of hours, we rounded up the kids and headed back to the Beach Club for a shower and some rest.

DH went out to smoke a stinky cigar and got some nighttime photos.













And then we went to sleep. A great first day !!

Yes, we tried to get together again - especially for the kids - but we never were able to manage it.

It is awesome !! So much fun !!

Mine gets the nastiest smelling ones and they are expensive, too. He is pretty considerate about it. He was bummed to find out he can't smoke them on the veranda when we take our cruise. I'm fine with it though. They stink up the cabin even when he is outside.

We did. It was a good Dismeet !!! Tammy wnted us to stay longer, but DH was so tired and we needed to get to bed. Fort Wilderness was packed that weekend !!

Day 2 Part 1

We got up about 7:30 AM well I did. I went down to get breakfast while everyone else had a few more minutes of sleep.

Of course I took some more resort photos while I was out and about. I love all of the beachy touches to this place.



















These were made out of layers of paper and they were really cool.







I got breakfast from the Marketplace



Options were limited. It really would have been nice to have some Mickey Waffles as an option.

I got DD a cinnamon roll



Which she didnt eat and DH and I ended up sharing the next morning.

I also got a chocolate croissant that I thought one of the kids would like.



Nope. DH and I split that as well. My kids are just not breakfast people, really. I totally dont get this, because I just cant have a good day without some sort of breakfast.

DH and I shared the Breakfast platter. It had eggs, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit.



Here is a photo that shows you how huge the cinnamon roll is.



Everything tasted good. The eggs were cold, but were OK. The potatoes were the best part. Very yummy casserole !!

Our park on this day was Animal Kingdom, so after breakfast we headed out.



Once we got in the park, we snagged some fastpasses for Expedition Everest and headed towards the safari.

We saw Devine along the way.





She was so cool.







We got in line for the safari which said 10 minutes, but it was a walk on.
