I was watching Charlie Brown, and another animated Christmas show started. Right in the middle of the show. It went to commercial and another animated show came on with Mrs. Claus giving Mr. Claus his first toy he ever made. Now Charlie Brown is back on.

Looks like a person or a computer switched to the wrong program. And due to time, they can't back it up and fix it. Once the error is made, it can't be undone. They just keep on trucking.

That's a shame it happened though.

I was watching something one time--and though I can't figure out HOW they made the mistake, the show was on, went to commercial, came back but was several scenes ahead of where it should be, went to commercial on time, then it went to the scenes that had been skipped.

I'm picturing a master control operator trying to manually fix what would become a timing error...but it really messed up the program.

I've also witnessed a program being fast forwarded/rewound.

It was a little weird. I wasn't really expecting it either because I thought it was a mistake when I read the show description before we watched it. I think there was also a different Charlie Brown short episode too? I got distracted and didn't really see what was shown at the end.

Thanks for the explanation.
I get so easily distracted-I thought I was loosing it.

LOL! I started watching it on tivo about 20 minutes after the program actually started. So I was fast-forwarding through commercials. I remember thinking "Man, this is a long set of commercials!" but had no idea why!!! : )

Well now, that's weird! I was watching something on my DVR this morning (Big Bang Theory, think) and twice during the show the scene was interrupted with a commercial.

The scene was playing along nicely and then all of a sudden, the middle of a commercial came on, and then just as quickly it picked the scene back up again :confused3

Weird.

Yep, ABC played the full Charlie Brown Christmas show, then they did the short Prep and Landing show and then put on another Charlie Brown episode.
It was confusing because they listed the whole hour as CB Christmas. :confused3

Grrr. And that would be why I missed it. We already have Charlie Brown, so I didn't bother to record that.
