Charging Food to Room

It seems as if I've read this somewhere so sorry if this is a repeat, but I can't find it.

Is it possible to charge food in the parks and Citywalk to my room? This is assuming that I've added a cc to my room.

when you check into the onsite hotel, you will be asked if you want to put a cc on your account for charging in the park.

you will get an automatic $100 allowed per day.
if you want a higher amount allowed, tell them to increase it.

i do charging privileges and it makes it convenient for me not to have to carry a cc or money when i am in the park.
 
Hey! This is a good idea! I never thought of that, I will definitely be doing this! I'm all about convenience and less to carry or be in charge of. Packaged with the purchases I make and the parks sending my stuff to my room at PBR makes shopping so much easier. Without this feature/benefit I probably wouldn't shop because I don't like lockers

Prepare for room charing to not work though..... we had issues a few years back with the entire system, park wide, to go down. Every time we went to charge something they would have to physically call our resort (PBH) and get all the info, then the hotel would have to run the charge and approve it. Insane. Really a pain for me as all I had on me was my room key so I had to send a child to find Daddy and get his wallet...... Hopefully it's better now
 
guess i have been fortunate and never encountered the glitches you had.

I have seen people having trouble with room charging. One trip my brother and his wife had issues on one day everywhere they went. The rest of the trip was fine. This past trip in our last meal at Mythos they told us when I flashed our room key to get priority seating that they were having problems and could not use it for payment. I have never used room charging. We use cash everywhere so there is no surprises later, while there, or it keeps us on budget. When you just swipe swipe swipe you can lose track of cost.

Yes, guess why Disney wants to make it even easier to pay with the magicbands, lol. So you can Ding! Ding! Ding! pay for everything without keeping track of the costs, lol. But yes I've had trouble with the room charging at Universal too, so I usually carry at least a credit card or something else as backup.
