There's quite a bit of Disney characters (both human and cartoon) who could (should) have been made meetable at the Disneyland Parks.

Here are some of mine:

*Gosalyn Mallard (Darkwing Duck)
*Honker Muddlefoot (Darkwing Duck)
*Magica De Spell (Duck Tales)
*The Beagle Boys & Ma Beagle (Duck Tales)
*Quack Pack Daisy and Donald (From Quack Pack)
*PETE the Cat (From the Alice Comedies, Goof Troop, and much more)
*Chesire Cat (Alice in Wonderland)
*The March Hare (Alice in Wonderland)
*The Dodo (Alice in Wonderland)
*Mr. Toad
*The Weasels (Who framed Roger Rabbit)
*Jessica Rabbit (Who framed Roger Rabbit) -Would probably cause a stir with the husbands but would still be cool to see ;)
*Rhinokey, Hoppo, Bumbelion, Butterbear, Eleroo, Mooseal, & Crocosaurus (The Wuzzles)
*Reluctant Dragon
*Quackerjack (Darkwing Duck)
*Negaduck (Darkwing Duck)
*Aligator Dancers (Fantasia)
*Hippo Dancers (Fantasia)
*Elephant Dancers (Fantasia)
*Mad Doctor (From 1933 Short)
*Oswald Rabbit
*Madam Mim (Sword in the Stone)
*Ursula (Little Mermaid)
*Percy (Pocahontas)
*Ghost (Lonesome Ghosts)
*Gus Goose (Donald's Cousin)
*Hutchy the Honeybee (Bubble Bee)
*Duchess & Thomas O'Malley (the Aristocats)
*Lady and Tramp (Lady and the Tramp)
*Beaver (Lady and the Tramp)
*Lucifer (Cinderella)
*Male & Female Blue Bird (Cinderella)
*Max (Little Mermaid)
*Peg, PJ, & Pistol (Goof Troop)
*Tron (Tron)
*Sark (Tron)
*Blue Fairy (Pinocchio)
*Nerissa (Enchanted)

oh this is fun!!!!

oswald is on top...he has been seen at the parks but like once or twice EVER!
bring em out more

Mother Gothel
Tarzan (more often I guess)
Jim Hawkins
Kuzco
Capt. Phoebus
Basil
Prof. Rattigan
Flora, Fauna, and Merrywether
Dumbo

thats it for me....lol for now. That's all I can think of

I've always wished Todd and Copper from The Fox and the Hound could be met. Maybe walking around in critter country. (:

Oswald would be cool! I didn't know he ever made an appearance.

Ursula would be really cool. Even if just for Halloweentime.
I'm jealous that WDW gets the Beast and DL doesn't.
I would love any of the 90s cartoons to be roaming around Toontown like they used to.. Rodger Rabbit, TaleSpin characeters, Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers...

Captain Jack :)

Why is the rum always gone?................................. oh thats why.

An even bigger question I have is why the heck hasn't DL/WDW created a walk around Pete the cat character? He's Mickey's all-time rival and has been around long before either park was established and should have been made a long long time ago! :confused3

BOO from monsters inc!!
shes only in the parade :sad1:

Tarzan and Jane!
why can you see turk but no main characters?!

Oh and NALA (tarzan gorilla mommy)! Shed be sooo cute and cuddly!

Lion king characters!

Just thought of a few more -

*Steelbeak (Darkwing Duck)
*Ferdinand (1938 Ferdinand the Bull)
*Raja (Aladdin)
*Elliot (Pete's Dragon)

I think some of these characters are too big. To scale them down to proper size with everyone else would be a real challenge.

But I sure would love to meet the Reluctant Dragon! And the Ballet Dancers from Fantasia.

Also, Oswald has been seen in the parks?! I saw a parade float of him, I think during Easter or maybe Spring season, but never as a character mascot.

I would love to see:

Mulan as Ping
Sweetums (Muppets)
Han Solo and Chewbacca
Kingdom Hearts characters

Also, if you guys don't mind a slightly unrelated question - Where did Max come from? Was Goofy married at some point? What happened to her and what was her name? I know Disney is big on the single parent angle, but I am really curious.
I had a full on discussion with my friend recently on this topic and decided maybe Max is adopted? Any other theories or actual knowledge would be appreciated.

I know it's a sketchy source at best but here is the wikipedia entry on Goof Troop, the show where Max originated on TV. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goof_Troop. Now I have heard rumors and speculation dating to back when the show first ran that Goofy was a widower, but since it is never stated in the show (possibly to avoid using death) it also gives the impression that Goofy is a divorcee, however since that is also not adressed in the series I think it was purposely made ambiguous, however most people I have talked to have assumed that Goofy was a widower - one theory I heard was the reason being was because the creators of the show did not want to have to introduce another "new" character to the series (having to create a Mrs. Goofy) and/or could not come to an agreement on who she should look (I read a long time ago that one person said she basically looked like Goofy in drag, and that wouldn't fly with the show's creaters) so she was dropped. Also she would eventually have to have made appearances due to custody issues (Max being child still) and would most certainly have to see him sometime unless she was a heartless woman. But that's what I have seen & heard I will fish around for more info now since I am interested in this topic again :thumbsup2

EDIT: The wiki also had this exact line more or less confirming he is a widower:

Goofy's wife dies later on and Goofy states to Max "she up there with the stars" so his modern day appearances portray Goofy as a widower

For what it's worth the Disney wiki also lists Goofy as the widower father of Max.

You know, now that you mention it Goofy being a widower sounds very familiar to me. I think I have heard that before.

Yes, widower makes sense. Especially given Max's physical likeness to Goofy.

Not really a new character, but I also wish we could meet some of the princesses in their day clothes. Aurora as Briar Rose or Belle in her apron.

Ursula would be cool! I love the villains so more of them would be fun.

The Beast actually used to be out and about in Disneyland. I have a photo of my son with him. I wasn't a fan of his costume though.....it was a bit cheesy.

I wish there were more chances to take photos of the princesses with their princes. I have one of my daughter with Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip and it's one of my favorite shots.

Also, I'd love to see Giselle from Enchanted. She was out leading the Christmas parade one year in a carriage, and I managed to snap a quick photo.

A big :thumbsup2 to Aurora as Briar Rose. Equally awesome would be if Disney makes her dress the right color. Merryweather was quite excited when I shouted "make it blue" as I went by the carousel during the 1/2 marathon.

I've only seen Belle in her blue dress at WDW, but have heard that if she's at Goofy's Kitchen, she'll be in blue.

I have seen her in her blue dress/apron at Goofy's Kitchen!!

I really wish the Princes were out with the Princesses again.
