I was wondering who you have been seeing at Goofy's for dinner lately. I'm going in December!
Thanks!

Goofy's doesn't vary any more. Goofy out front. Minnie, Chip, Dale and Pluto inside.

As mom2rtk mentioned above, the unfortunate choice was made sometime last year (it was last year, wasn't it? Or was it 2013?) to only have 5 characters at Goofy's, and they won't vary.... unlike in previous Goofy's Kitchen days, when you'd get those 5 and then other surprise characters too (like a couple of Princesses, Captain Hook, Baloo, etc.).

I suppose it's not the number of characters that bothers me -- all of the character meals except for Minnie & Friends have just about 5 characters -- but I wish the characters were not characters that you can see at other places. I wish each meal had a totally different line-up of characters. Chip & Dale are at 3 character meals. Minnie is at 3 of them (and I think she has even appeared at Ariel's in the past too!!!). Pluto is at 3 of them (and he has even been spotted at the Critter Breakfast on rare occasions).

Ooh no, I was looking forward to the wide variety of characters. I think now variety and quality of food is more important so you do recommend, goofy's, plaza, or storytellers

I would rank the quality in the order of: Plaza, Storytellers, Goofy's. We went to each over Labor Day week. Dinner at Goofy's was unimpressive. I would probably go back for breakfast at some point.

Not having eaten at Minnie & Friends and only reading reviews, it seems like the food quality is not usually what gets high marks, but I think it must have gotten better in the last couple of years. It is the number of characters there that is the draw. You will find the most characters at M&F, which can be chaotic for some folks.

Many people like the quality of the food at Storytellers Café (Critter Breakfast) and at Surf's Up with Mickey (at the PCH Grill). I like the food at Goofy's Kitchen -- more for breakfast than for dinner, but dinner was good too. Goofy's Kitchen has the widest variety and largest buffet out of all of the meals, as it is a restaurant that only exists to be a character meal. It is not open for non-character meals at any point, unlike the other restaurants.

The food at Minnie's is fine! We've eaten there many times and it's good. They have an omelette station, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, potatoes, cereals, muffins, pastries, fruit...your typical buffet breakfast. The character interaction is amazing. Last time we went we saw 10 characters and had so much attention from all of them! The whole family loved it!!

I totally agree. We did a birthday brunch for DS6 over the weekend and we tried Minnie's for the first time. The food was decent, but nothing great (although they had this banana caramel sauce for their french toast which was really good). The characters were tremendous however. We saw Suzy (from Cinderella), Rafiki, Penguin (from Mary Poppins), Max, Minnie, Tigger, Chip, Dale, Captain Hook, Eeyore, and the Fairy Godmother. It was non-stop character visits and it was terrific. And on a totally off-topic side note, the dinner buffet at PCH Grill is outstanding.

We ate at goofy's kitchen for a spur of the moment breakfast, and I must say, it was disappointing. We did plaza inn in Feb for breakfast and loved it! Lots of characters-- chip, dale, Minnie, eeyore, pooh, Captn hook, tigger. Food was ok-- the omelet station was the best.

At goofy's, we took a picture with goofy before entering, met chip and dale and Minnie. Pluto never did end up coming to see us, but that was ok since we had met Pluto the day prior on Main Street in DL.

We also did ariels grotto this trip for breakfast and it was the best! Hands down best service and table service. Food was okay but we were served. Princesses were announced and we saw Cinderella, rapunzel, Tiana, sleeping beauty and took a picture with Ariel in the beginning.

Ugh, i totally forgot that they took out the extra characters from Goofy's! I need to re-think if it is worth the walk & the $ to do dinner there on our trip. We have an ADR. Last time we went we saw Belle & Aladdin and my daughter had no clue who they were...this time she would love them, I could see her talking Belle's ear off about books. Bummer.
