During our recent trip to Orlando we stayed at the Vistana resort in Lake Buena Vista. We stopped at the Lake Buena Vista outlet mall and visited their "Disney" outlet called Character corner. They had a few items and the prices were okay but the best deals and selection can still be found at the Character warehouse located in the Belz mall at the end of international drive in Orlando. We discovered this place years ago and they have great a selection and excellent prices. There was a great deal of year 2000 stuff at incredible discounts. I purchased a nice AK polo shirt, retail was $45, CW price, $16. This is top quality stuff. Some of the itmes you will still find for sale in Disney but at twice+ the price. If you want to get some great deals and bring everyone back home a piece of Disney don't bother with the small places, head to the CW at the Belz. BTW, they now have a Universal outlet store in Mall number 1.

Do you know how long the drive is from the WDW property? I've heard about this too, but didn't know if it would be worth it to take time away from our vacation.

Can someone please post how to get to the Belz Outlet Mall or direct us to a website that has a map or ?????? Thanks, sounds like the prices are great there.

Head north on Internation drive and the Belz mall is located at the very end. There are two large buildings, mall 1 and mall 2. They have additional stores across the street. There are many other outlet stores in this area. The Character warehouse is located in Mall 2. It is definitely worth the trip. You won't believe their stock and the prices. Depending on traffic, it is about 5 minutes off of Exit 30 off I4.

What I did to find this is go to www.yahoo.com go to advanced search, enter in "Belz Outlet Mall Orlando Florida" click on the button that says "find all words" an hit search.

Here is the site it finds!

Hope this helps!

They sell all sorts of WDW merchandise and clothing, as well as former catalog and store stuff. Whenever i go we go to Belz first. It takes care of nearly all of my souvineer purchases.

Beverly Lynn, I believe the places you are refering to are the Character corner stores that I refer to in my original post. They are right off 535 at the LBV premium outlets. Having visited both just a few weeks ago, trust me, there is no comparison and the Character Warehouse is worth the trip. They have 4 times more stock and the items are much better. I stayed in LBV and we visited the Character corner stores and I didn't find anything. At the CWH I did very well. I visited the Disney marketplace and I couldn't believe that we found two items for sale there that we found in the CWH for 70% off.

Beverly Lynn is correct. The store she is referring to is a sister to the stores at the Belz Outlet--it too is called Character Warehouse. There is just one closer to WDW now. It is owned and operated by Disney, staffed by Cast Members, and carries the same merchandise as the ones at Belz. It openned last year and carries, like you said, the exact same merchandise as some of the stores in DD. This store and it's 2 sisters at the Belz outlet offer a CM discount too for any CMs out there. I was glad that Disney put one closer to the resort, I don't enjoy going down International Drive to get to the Belz outlet.
