So from what I can gather these are not really meet and greets but rather little shows? It seems like an individual unit of the Superstar Parade comes out and does their little thing in front of Mel's? Is that right? Are they worth seeing? About how long does each performance last?

They are meet and greets. You can wait in line to see the characters. We have only waited to talk to the Scoobie Gang and seen Gru and Co come in on the Despicable Me float. Oh and we met Dora a few years ago. If you're interested in the characters, then yes. We have not gone out of our way for any other than the Scoobies.
