Character meet and greets, double standard?

So I have been seeing lots of pictures of guest on the Galactic Star Cruiser getting up close and personal with the characters.

Have meet and greets returned to the parks?
I can see this being a huge PR problem for Disney.
You can pose for pictures with Characters indoors without masks if you pay us enough money.

I know cruises also get a bad rap, but most cruise lines have dropped masks. But not Disney Cruise Line.

The Galactic Star Cruise isn't a cruise line so I don't quite understand your comparison. But I get your point.

Meet and greets are slowing returning to the parks. Things are in a state of flux for the next few months regarding mask wearing. Be patient.

Cruise lines was just one thing. All other Cruise lines have dropped masks.

What meet and greets have returned in the parks?

I agree. Really not a good look.

Are the CMs that work the cruiser not under the union?

Undoubtedly due to Disney lifting mask requirements both indoors and outdoors on February 15 for fully vaccinated people.

So, there's actually no rule violation occurring.

Does make a person wonder why there and nowhere else as yet, though.

Looks like masks have become more of a habit than we may have realized, huh?

Hadn’t thought about it but you are totally right. At this point there is no logical reason meet and greets aren’t back except staffing I guess…and they obviously don’t feel the need to bring them back quickly

It has nothing to do with masks for me. They don’t allow characters in the parks to have meet and greets or autographs but they allow it in the star cruiser. To me that’s not a good look but like I said in my pp, it may be a union issue. I wish they’d allow face to face character meets with hugs and autographs.

It’s probably a union thing with immersive interaction a part of the contract for Star cruiser

As far as the present “sightings” go is just be happy with photopass as all locations and not just the three or four they are presently at and possibly hand out autograph cards at least to the littles (and sell albums for them in the gift shops)

Starcruiser only has 100 rooms and the same guests for the entire voyage. That is much lower exposure than in the parks
But you are then interacting with the same people for a prolonged period of time and have multiple interactions over the 2 days with the same people, not just a one time 60 second interaction. You have fewer numbers of people but longer time and more frequent times, so it’s not lower risk. In fact, I would say it’s higher. I think it’s a double standard.

Did you see the video? The room was pretty packed. And if it was the case, that doesn't explain why they don't have the meet and greets outside yet either.

Seems like another Chapek-Upcharge to me.
Unless you are saying they only offer the same characters in person on the galactic cruiser experience I don’t see how it compares at all. Y’all (figurative not saying you) are just trying to stir up crap
You can’t get an in person, non distanced meet and greet on the star cruise with Cinderella. You can’t get a non distanced meet and greet with Cinderella in the parks either. So where is the double standard, upcharge?

Same goes for any Star Wars characters. They never had in person up close meet and greet with them after Star Wars weekends ended. So no double standard there either

I mean come on, Disney is screwing enough up without folks making up new ways they are getting screwed over.
