any thoughts on when character meals might return?

we're going in August, have half board, hoping to grab reservation as soon as possible.

depending on when/if character meals return what would you suggest for dinners?

we'll have 10 and 12 yo boys, never been to disney. we're in a club room sequooia with half board. My son and I are wdw pros!

also, I need to be able to give them disney gift cards for spending. I know I can't buy here in the states. any suggestions?

Ok so I think this might be one of those weird DLP things, but these cards most def exist, I don't think you can buy them?????

I was given one as part of my package deal recently (I still have it but empty so I haven't just dreamt it..lol) but I cannot for the life of me find any reference to how to purchase one other than for business reasons.

An option may be the prepaid Euro cards? If you do a search for 'FairFX Linked cards' this might meet your needs? Or ring DLP to see if they sell Disney Giftcards in the onsite shops?

For boys who have never been, I would suggest to go for Café Mickey or for the Inventions dinner at the Disneyland Hotel if they are open by then.

Gift cards... I have never seen them in Disneyland Paris. They do sometimes offer spending money with package deals, but I have never seen it being sold separately. Doesn't mean they do not exist. Maybe they do. I think gift cards are not a big thing in Europe anymore. I would just tell them: "You can pick out a present for x amount of money." And then pay for it yourself.

I'm trying to avoid an argument with their mom in the store! I don't want her paying for anyhing (they're from Hungary, Money is tougher to come by)
