Character Meals??

We are HUGE character meal fans!!! I know there is one @ IOA. Also, I read there are special character meals @ each resort. We are staying on-site. Can you go to any resort or only to the one you are staying at?? Any info would be GREAT!! What characters are at each and how early should I book these??

you can go to any resort,i have only been at RPR meals, they are on Mon- Wed & Sat although this can change and characters as well. last i heard was Mon was scooby & Shaggy Wed was the Simpsons and Sat was Shrek & Fiona.
There is no extra charge for the meals , the food would be the same price as any other day, so they are not as manic as Disney. The Islands i find to be quite quiet, have never booked a table just turn up and this is in July.
remember you can use all the facilities of any of the 3 resorts , just take your room key with you so you can get towels and be able to order food.

Thanks so much!! Are those the same type characters that are @ the park meal? Also, do the characters sign an autograph book? If so can those books be bought in the park?

never looked at character meals in the park, but think they are limited , i.e spiderman, thing1&2 etc.
they sign books and pic taking, we always go to Islands at least once a trip, for a meal usually when characters are there, place is always empty, don't know why as the food is excellent as is the service, last July there was only about 4 tables with people at them , it was very quiet, and scooby & Shaggy spent abot 20 mins sitting talking to us, well shaggy talked as scooby cant

I noticed that too Robert cause we ate there last trip and there was only about 8 people incuding us and the food was great

Last summer we ate at The Kitchen in the Hard Rock Hotel specifically to see Scooby and the food was fantastic! It was not crowded at all!

We have done the character breakfast at Confisco Grille at IOA and saw the Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 & 2, and Spiderman. As others have said, it was not full by any means. The food was good, and the characters spent alot of time with my kids. Spiderman was esp. attentive.

How far in advance do I need to make a reservation at Confisco Grille? That one sounds like fun for our teens too. TIA

When we went last summer I was wanting to take our DS to see Scooby. I called all 3 hotels in advance and they all told me that it can honestly be anyone that night depending on how the day at the park has gone and that you just have to call the night you want to go. Thankfully, we were without dinner plans one night so I called all 3 hotels and was told that Scooby was already there so we headed that way. Have fun!

My kids would love to see Shaggy and Scooby. I am glad that they are still available to see.
