Which Character Meals would you recomend for my DS ages 9,7,6.
We will be gettting the MYW with dining so I want to maximize it for the boys.

We will be doing the following for sure.

Chef Mickey

Goofy's Liberty Tavern

I am open to suggestions for the rest. We have done Breakfasorus the last two trips, loved it but want to try different things.

IS the HDDR worth 2 dinners in your Opinion?

Thanks

This will be are 4th trip with our boys and along with those dinners that you meantioned we also like Crystal Palace(Pooh) can never be to old for Pooh,LOL. And mine also loved CRT because the boys are given swords, They LOVED thinking that they were in a real Castle were guys could be fighting LOL they just loved that!!!. Also the Si-Fi dinner at MGM. The boys also liked Bromos ( not sure I am recalling it spelled correctly) at AKL. They also like Chef de france and Coral Reef. Almost forgot they also loved O'han's at Poly resort
Hope this helps!!! Have a :wizard: time!!

If your boys are anything like our boys, at those ages they loved the Hoop Dee Doo, and they still love it now that they are older. Last June was our eight time seeing the show and will be going back on our next family trip in November.

'Ohana's breakfast with Stitch, Lilo, Mickey, and Pluto is fun. My ds likes the Sci-Fi Dine In, too.

Our 9 year old son likes Crystal Palace and Liberty Tree Tavern and the Magic Kingdom.

At MGM Studios, we go for the Sci-Fi. No characters but the whole atmosphere is fun. For counter service, we always eat at Toy Story Pizza Planet.

At Epcot, we eat at the Garden Grill. The food and service is great. Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale are all dressed as farmers. They have a separate kids menu in case your children don't like the main menu.

Animal Kingdom only has the breakfast character meal and we aren't big breakfast eaters so we skip table service that day.

The table service meal we don't use at Animal Kingdom, we combine with one additional table service credit and go to the Hoop Dee Doo Review. Definitely worth the two credits. The kids get involved in the singing and are given a washboard and spoons to play. The food and service is great. BBQ ribs, fried chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans, salad, rolls and strawberry shortcake. Take some time after the show to just walk around Fort Wilderness. The store has some unique items for little boys.

Have a great trip and eat some good food! Lisa

You might like Whispering Canyon with boys. There are no characters (except the servers) but it is a good time.

We love the hot breakfast buffew at AK Mickey & Donald and it is never crowded.

Eventhough this isn't a character meal, it was my kids favorite. They loved 50's Prime Time Cafe at MGM because the CMs really embarrass the parents if they are not behaving or eat all of their food. My kids said that it was the best laugh they ever had seeing their dad getting introuble and having the CM do the plane in the hanger thing done to them. I got yelled at because I accidently had my elbows on the table....sorry mom:rotfl2:

I persoanlly would not do HDDR , what about lilo and stich ?

We will probably be doing Ohana's with Lilo and Stitch. Didn't even know about them.

I am leaning to the HDDR as well, heard too many good things, maybe not the best food in the world but an overall memorable experience.

The Chip and Dale one might be good but I might use the TS at the Coral Reef. Sure it's overpriced but what a view if your are up against the glass.

One thing those with boys and girls for that matter, have them do the Pirate cruise at the GF. They have a blast and the parents can stay around the GF and have a nice brunch without the kids. Even parents need a vaction during the vacation.

Please keep the suggestions rolling.

Whispering Canyon is a blast and great food and location as well. I highly reccommend it as it was worth it as long as you bring a lumberjack appetite. The portions are HUGE......you have been warned.

I have two boys and the bfast at Ohanas is a must-do! They loved seeing Stitch there last March, too! He stuck waffles in his ears and my boys *still* talk about this. There's also a parade around the restaurant, which is very fun. My boys are ages 6 & 8 now, by the way. My DH loves the Ohana bfast because it's family style, too.

I'll also throw in a vote for WCC. Very fun restaurant and my boys had a blast there. They loved the pony rides around the restaurant and *all* of the shananigans, especially yelling for ketchup. :cool1:
