Is 10:30am too late to schedule Plaza Inn character breakfast with Minnie and Friends? Are we still going to get ample time with characters? Enough time to eat before they switch to lunch?

The CM at Disney Dining said that the characters will be there until 12 noon and that they stop replenishing food at 11:30 am. So if your reservation is at 10:30 you have an hour and a half to meet all the characters and an hour to eat. I think this is a good amount of time :thumbsup2

HTH,
Kriss pirate:

We did a 10:30 reservation at PI during our last trip to DLR. It was great because we took advantage of rope drop (ate quick protien bars in the room beforehand) and got all our rides in before the lines got too big, then we were able to relax with a late breakfast that really was more of an early lunch. I often use this strategy so that we only wind up eating 2 meals in the parks.

There were plenty of characters roaming around, my DS who collects autographs even got the rare Captn Hook.... that was a first for him so he was pleased.

Ohhh, I really want to get a 10:30 as well for the same reasons, but I could have sworn I read in the past that characters tend to stop at 11 and so does the food.

Anybody care to share about their experiences? Is her's the norm or the exception? Thanks in advance!

I echo the comments above and will be on this plan again June 10th! It worked really well in October. We are newly minted AP holders so I envision doing this 2-3 more times over the next year. PI breakfast was the best character encounter we’ve had and we’ve done all of the non-princess themed breakfasts in both WDW and DLR. Meeting Cpt. Hook was awesome for our little pirate.

We were told that the characters and food stop at 11 because they begin setting up for lunch at 11:30, but IME that wasn't exactly the case. We had a 10:20 reservation, showed up at 10:10, got seated right away, we were able to eat until close to 11:30 (they did shut down the custom omelet station) with the food that was already made but once something ran out they didn't make more. We stayed until just after 11 and the characters were still out when we left. We really enjoyed our meal and the character interaction was absolutely amazing!

Based on positive reports and planned EMH, we have a 10:40 reservation on 6/3/14 so I'll report back :cool1:
