Hi,

We are going in September and I was wondering about which character meal would be best for a lunch or dinner. We already are planning a lunch or dinner at Ariel's Grotto after my DD has her BBB appt. We have a great free breakfast at our hotel and don't want to pay the extra for a character breakfast. Is there a lunch or dinner CM offering that isn't too far of a walk from the parks? I know Minnie's is in DL but where is Goofy's?

Thanks!

Goofy's is in the Disneyland Hotel, and it has dinner. I believe it's the only one other than Ariel's! (their brunch is brunch foods, not lunch foods)

Minnie and Friends is breakfast only, as are Lilo and Stitch and Storytellers. So your only options for a character dinner other than Ariel's would be Goofy's (which is located in the Disneyland Hotel) or the Celebration Round-Up BBQ in DL, which is not an 'official' character meal, supposedly, although Woody and crew are on the premises. Goofy's serves breakfast which kind of stretches into brunch, but they don't have a whole separate lunch buffet spread. It is basically an extended breakfast buffet menu, but there have been some reports saying they serve until 2 p.m., and other saying they serve until noon, so I am not sure about the timing! It may change during the seasons or on weekends.

Wow. Thanks for the quick responses! Sounds like Goofy's might be a great choice for us. We bought our Ariel's Princess Lunch/Dinner thru our AAA package ($116 for 3 adults & 1 child). I am assuming that buying it thru AAA is the same price as if we bought it at the location with our 10% AAA discount?? Should we buy Goofy's thru them too or just pay there?

Thanks!

You know, I have never used AAA for Goofy's at all (I use the AP for discounts now), so I am not sure if that package is cheaper than if you just paid and got the AAA discount when you arrive at the restaurant. Hmmm....maybe someone will know that and be able to answer. It wouldn't hurt to have it pre-paid and out of the way, but if AAA tacks on any kind of service fees, then it may negate the discount amount.
