Character Meal choice other than Chef Mickey

I'm still trying hard to get a dinner adr for Chef Mickeys, but it's looking more and more like that's not going to be a possibility.

What character meal would be the best second choice?

I have a DS who is 2 years old so CRT isn't something that I'm interested in. He's a picky eater and he's got severe dairy allergies, so we're hoping for a dinner meal/buffet that has plain pasta or burgers as an option.

I've read alot of good things about 1900 Park Fair...is that too "girly" for a boy to sit thru?

How about Crystal Palace? It's a buffet and has the Winnie the Pooh characters...Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet...you DS might like that and I'm sure they have plenty to choose from for dinner for his tastes.

I second CP. It's become a tradition for my family. The kdis love Pooh (I'm a Tigger guy myself) and the food is pretty decent.

If they'll be open when you go, how about the Garden Grill at Epcot? The character interaction is great, and the characters are Mickey, Pluto and Chip and Dale, as I recall - perfect for tiny kids.

The characters come to your table and tend to really spend some time with the kids. It's pretty laid back - not as frenetic as Chef Mickey's, which can be an advantage. (Might want to check allearsnet.com for the menu to make sure it would work for you)

I agree.... we've enjoyed and had some pretty decent meals at Crystal Palace

I third CP. We went there in July when DS was 9 months old and had a blast and can't wait to go again next month.

We loved Cape May for breakfast - there is Minnie, Goofy and I think Donald now in their summer beach wear! So cute!

I also say CP. While I love Garden Grill the menu is a bit more restricted for pickey eaters. CP has a little of everything. The characters are Pooh though. If you are looking for the Fab 5 you will have to go with Garden Grill.

While Cape May is one of our favorites, I think the O.P is looking for dinner or lunch because they mentioned burgers, etc...

Cape May character meals are only for breakfast

My Boys loved 1900 Park faire; both as little guys and now still as they are grown. This is an extensive buffet, LOTS of variety, geared to all ages and tastes. We always have loved the choices, characters, and service. Easy to get to and as a side note (from another thread) GF has the softest toilet paper on property
