Character meal at Liberty Tree Tavern Jan-Feb 2010 (Breakfast Menu added to 1st post)

Just got back from LTT for lunch today! Since the menu and prices were already posted I'll just give a time run down...

Our ADR was at 2:15, we arrived about 2:10. We were sat right at 2:15. We probably were there just over an hour, saw all character two times and Minnie three times! Food was amazing - I'm glad we got to experience the traditional dinner LTT is known for, but at the lunch price and with characters!!!

I'm so glad I stumbled across this last night! My DH and I just decided we wanted to do a character breakfast with our DD on our trip next week and couldn't get reservations anywhere. I was able to get an 8:10 ADR for Sunday morning which is perfect b/c we'll be in MK before it opens!!! And the menu looks yummy!

Has anyone been able to get a pirate or princess mini-surprise cake at LTT since it's changed over temporarily to a character meal? I called today to try to get it added on to our reservation and the CM said that during this time it's not giving them the option in the system to add it on, although when it's not a character meal, that is one of the locations that has the mini-cakes available:confused3.

She said I could ask at the podium to see if they have it but they are unable to note it in advance. Just wondering if anyone has had any luck doing this since the switch over.

We had a Character lunch there 1/27. It was great. The food, service and character interaction were all top notch. The restaurant didn't seem overly crowded or chaotic like I expected with a character meal. It was a nice reprieve from the park.
We were very pleased!

Thanks to everyone for the reviews. I just booked a breakfast here on 2/11 and now I'm so excited because it sounded like most people enjoyed it. I was a little disappointed because I thought the characters would be winnie the pooh, good to know so I don't get the kids all worked up. I would rather see Minnie, Pluto and Chip and Dale anyways.::MinnieMo

We had breakfast here on 1/29. I have mixed feeling about it. Mostly dissapointed in the service not the venue, food or characters. First of all be aware this is not a very handicap/wheelchair friendly venue. There are steps to get up into the building, steps to get up to where the tables are and the only bathrooms in the building are up 2 flights of stairs. My mother is in a wheelchair so they had to take us out of the restaurant and around back to go in a side door just to get us to the table. Then we were there for my birthday, which I booked this 90 days ago. It was all over the ticket and they even greeted me with it when I checked in. However our server was horrible, no drink refills, and my Mom reminded her 2 times that it was my birthday and she said she knew that it was on our ticket and she still forgot to bring my birthday button and cake out. After our meal I went back around the building and complained and told the greeter so she gave me a birthday button, but part of the fun of the birthday experience is the singing and clapping, not to mention the cake that didn't get delivered to our table. The food was ok, not great. Definately not something I would return for. We did enjoy that it was quiet and not near as noisy as other Character Meals and the Character interaction was amazing. Dale really took some time with my DS2 and doing autographs with him. They were definately worth going there for. Overall a little dissapointing since I had such high hopes for it. But at least I got to see the Characters in those outfits.

We had breakfast there on 1/27 @ 8:20. We waited less than 5 minutes to be seated. There were many empty tables. We were escorted by Dale to our table...what a treat!

Overall the breakfast was not good at all. The eggs were very dry and the ham had no flavor. Bacon and sausage were good. The fruit, biscuits and croissant were very good. I did not care for the peach french toast either. It had hardly any flavor.

Our sever was good and kept our cups filled.

It was worth it for the characters...so I can't complain too much. My daughter loves Minnie so it was worth it.

I would have to say about the same thing. I'm glad we did it if only for getting into the park early. The bacon was good, fruit was good and the server even brought my DD a bowl of just apples so they wouldn't taste like the strawberries that were in the bowl of mixed fruit. The peach thing was too wierd for me-I agree with the flavorless coment and it had a wierd consistency.

I am glad we did it for the chance to see the characters but wouldn't feel the need to go back if it were a regular thing.

Can't wait to go back to Crystal Palace on my birthday in May.:tigger:pooh:

We went for breakfast on 1/23, my DD's 8th birthday. We had 8:15 ADR but showed up right at 8:00 and were seated in about 5 minutes. We all thought the food was pretty good. My DH loved the chocolate croissants and I was glad they had fruit that wasn't melon (apples and strawberries). The peach french toast was too sweet for me for breakfast but my girls loved it. Our eggs were great and the sausage too. Our waitress brought DD a chocolate muffin/cupcake with icing and mickey sprinkles. The staff rang the bell, announced her birthday and sang. She loved it. The little cake was actually pretty good. She got a lot of birthday interaction with the characters once they saw her button. Chip & Dale are her favorite and so it was the perfect breakfast for her and started her birthday out just right. We were out of there so early that we actually had to go back to the castle area and wait for the park to open. Of course, we were on the first flight on Dumbo!!:)

We had breakfast there last week and really enjoyed it. We were seated immediately and the restaurant was pretty empty. The chocolate croissants were very good and the fruit bowl was nice and not your typical Disney fruit bowl that is mostly melon -- this one had strawberries and blueberries along with some other selections. The eggs were moist and flavorful. The meat platter was huge it could've easily feed six of us (we were a party of three). The peach french toast was pretty sweet but I did enjoy a small serving of it. The characters each visited our table more than once and Chip and Dale were up to some funny hijinks (like stealing each other's aprons, going to the empty tables and re-arranging the silverware). All in all the meal was a success for us.

It's too bad that the food doesnt appear to be the greatest. When we went less than 2 yrs ago, for Dinner, it was great. It was my then 3YO DS character meal and we did several. It's too bad the characters will only be there for a short time.

We ate here on 2/5 @ 8:30am. I thought the food was good, not great but the characters interaction was excellent.

We were seated right away and it was probably slightly more than half full when we showed up. I'll bet most were seated close to 8:00 because not soon after we got there people started to leave. Service was very good. Drinks and food came very quickly. I think we were out ~9:10. By the time we left, there were only a few tables full but it looked like they were about to get busy.

During our time there all the characters came by 3 times. Pluto took my kids by the hand and lead them to the open floor for a dance. Chip and Dale were playing tricks on each other. Dale got a crayon and helped color my kid's pictures they had.

I love walking down Main Street basically by myself. There photographers were out and we got some great shots. We actually stopped at the first person and the last to get different views.

My overall opinion: I don't think you go for the food but the overall experience and when taken at as a whole it was a great breakfast.

We had a very nice experience at this meal on Feb. 8. The food was very good, hot and fresh. The service was excellent! What a nice restaurant that we never would have visited if not for this character meal.

We had breakfast there and enjoyed it as well, though I must confess to missing Crystal Palace. It was the one restaurant that we'd done every trip, so while not ruining the trip, it was a little sad to see closed down last months.

Thankfully, tomorrow morning all should be back to normal and the Crystal Palace will be back!

This was more like our experience last week. We all left stuffed. Lots of fruit and my sons ate strawberries and blueberries. Eggs, potatoes, bacon were all good. The warm chocolate croissants with the orange butter mmmmmmmmm so good!!!! I am drooling thinking about it. I am not a peach fan so skipped the french toast but others at the table said it was good. Best meal of the week for us.

I had dinner there last night (2/14)...they were completely booked, but DH and I managed a walk up ressie about 6:30..were seated by 6:50. We got all the characters 2x except Dale...which if we stayed another 10min, would have gotten him too. The service was a tad slow, but the food was EXCELLENT!! Our table was at a window, so during dessert, we got to see the fireworks. The CM's said that this was the last night with the characters..I am REALLY glad I got to eat there.

we ate breakfast there. we weren't that impressed with food or character interaction. Dale wasn't there. Characters stopped past quickly/brushed us off. It was pretty empty. Food wasn't that fullfilling for us. We then ate at Chef Mickeys and everything was wonderful there. Tons of different types of food. I would do Chef Mickeys again and maybe try Crystal palace.

We had a 8:05 ADR on Friday, 2/12 and it was fabulous! The characters were great - Dale took my Dad's jacket and hat and tried to be "in cognito" to get away from the handler and had my kids cracking up! He also pretended to loosen up the salt shaker and was playing a lot of peekaboo type games. The food was great, and although I missed the beauty of the Crystal Palace, I LOVED the LTT breakfast. There is something so less stressful about family style character meals. It never fails that as soon as I get to the buffet for myself or to help one of the 3 kids, a character would be making it's way back over to our table and I would have to get out of line and go back. I really enjoyed this character meal and am sad to know that it is no longer now that the CP is back! We had a great time!
