Character Interaction Advice?

We bring a pillow case and fabric markers for the characters to sign. This always starts a good conversation with the face characters. We asked what they dream about or what does their bedroom look like. Goofy took the case and laid down.

So all in all, we have found our best character interactions to be when we are just enjoying ourselves, having fun with the characters and their "quirks" and just go with whatever is thrown at you. It REALLY depends on the cast member though. Some are amazing -- others, not so much.

Agree! :thumbsup2

I also like to look at it from the characters' standpoint. Most of them spend their day probably repeating the same monotonous meet/greet routine with their guests. Sign, wave, take a pic, next. I think a lot of them are eager to look for opportunities to break out of that routine when interacting with guests and if you throw in something that's different, they take it and run with it (at least from our experience). AND they are more likely to spend extra time with you.

DD6 once told Anastasia at 1900 PF that she was her favorite princess. Anastasia squealed and spent a lot of time with her at our table. She said "Thank you! I'm not a princess yet, but hope to be one someday" Then she asked DD why she was her favorite and DD told her because she was funny. Anastasia then proceeded to sit DD on her lap, and told a couple of jokes.
