I know that you need to make reservations for the Character Meals, but at DLR, how far in advance is really necessary? We have narrowed it down to doing Minnie's Breakfast one day and Goofy's Kitchen one evening. Our dates fall on a couple of the Grad Days and very close to the rumored opening of Carsland and I would like to wait and see how those will affect park hours and Magic Mornings before I finalize our plans.

Thanks for your help!!:lovestruc

Looks like I'll be there the same time as you. From what I've researched so far, it seems that the grad nights will not be impacting park hours. As far as the Carsland opening - who knows at this point. I'm kind of planning around the rumored date, but I may need to switch some things around once it's officially announced.

At least it's not like WDW with making dining ressies 180 days out. At least with 60 days we might have more info. But it is coming up soon!

Don't know if I helped any, but good luck!

If you HAVE to eat at a very specific time (like 6:40p) or you have a very large group, the earlier you can book the better. If you would be happy with 630p or 7pm for your party of 4, a week will be plenty. Quite often, I make ressies the day before.

We will be there June 5-9. I agree with you on the WDW. We did that last summer and it seemed crazy to plan that far ahead, but I was glad that we did.

Thanks! We aren't that picky about times, I just kind of messed up last year with our WDW reservations and scheduled a couple of them in a park with early closing that night, so we didn't get as long in a couple of the parks as we would have liked. If any of the Magic Morning days change, I want to make sure I'm not scheduled for breakfast that day.

I was able to get a same-day ressie for Minnie's breakfast at Plaza Inn on the 28th (a Tuesday). I called at 9am, and they had multiple ressies available!

When we went in May, we made all our reservations after we arrived at DLR. The concierge at PPH actually set everything up for us. It was great!

Ill end up making all my reservations for things as soon as I am able (we go in May), but thats just so I can have those things planned and checked off my list of things to do. I dont plan all my rides and stuff like that but I want to have all my character meals or BBB makeover for my DD planned as soon as possible so I can have a better idea how things might go that day.
