We are big breakfast eaters. Would it be too much to have a breakfast buffet each morning for 8 days?? I really want to see the characters as well but have a very impatient 6 yo and thought this might be a better way to see them.

5-26 Tusker House Breakfast (8) supper Boma (7)
5-27 breakfast at hotel, due to switch over of reservations supper T-Rex (7)
5-28 Akershus (8) Ohana (5)
5-29 Chrystal Palace (8) Contemporary Grill (6) back to MK for MSEP/Wishes
5-30 Ohana at 9:30 Planet Hollywood (7)
5-31 Cape May (8) 1pm Sci-FI 6pm Garden Grill (for Chip and Dale)
6-1 1900 Park Fare (9:30) 2pm LeCellier (to get 1cr instead of 2)
6-2 Chef Mickeys (8) Akershus (6:30)
6-3 Boma (9a) Flying Fish (6pm)
6-4 hotel on our come home day

We have ddp on 25 til 27 and then dxdp from 27 till 4 so meal cost isn't an issue. I haven't made ADR yet but the times are in parenthesis for what I want to get. We get up early so time is not an issue. 5-30 is a resort/laundry day and 6-3 is a left over day that we have park tickets for in case we have stuff left we want to do. Our third meal will be cs and come if we get hungry. We upgraded from the free dp offered to the dx for abt 50 dollars a day so I figure even if we only eat twice a day we still get our money's worth. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

I have been to Disney three times and can't really tell you anything about the trips as I was a love crazed teen and a broke newlywed that did not plan the third trip well and was miserable the whole time. I want our 6yo first trip to be special. Thank you.

If it were me- I'd take advantage of the 3 TS meal credits pp per day and throw in more signature dinners that eat up 2 points. I completely agree about the character meals thing- I've planned quite a few so that my less than patient little ones aren't always waiting on lines.

I would say go for it :) definitely. There's no such thing as too many character meals in my opinion. They take up some time, sure, but they're really worth it - especially if you're on the dining plan!

The ones that I like in particular are:
Akershus - except, I would maybe only do this once. Keep the breakfast and ditch the dinner, because I went there for dinner once and I really didn't like any of the food. Maybe try for Cinderella's Royal table instead.
Crystal Palace - This one is always amazing and the characters are so cute! They have SUCH a good breakfast buffet, I always look forward to it.
Ohana - i haven't done this since '04, but we REALLY enjoyed it.
Garden Grill- this is my FAVORITE and i'm so glad to see it on here. Don't miss this one. The food is spectacular and the character interaction was great for us :)

We are huge character meals junkies, and my boys love it!! We love to have breakfast inside the park at 8am before the park opens at 9am since we are up early anyways. We usually have a character meal once a day, and sometimes more if the schedule would fit.

If the schedule fits for your family, then certainly go for it. Your schedule above looks fine to me, we love all those places. I like character breakfasts, it's a great way to start the day!! (I've got lots of pictures of all the character meals in my trip reports if you need more info).

Have a wonderful trip! Your 6yo will love it!

Last January we were on the DxDDP and we had a character breakfast every morning for a week. My DD5 (at the time) loved it. It was a great way to see the characters without having to wait in lines at the parks. DD5 is an early riser so we had an ADR before the parks opened. I got a bit sick of the food, but really breakfast is pretty standard. We are doing the same thing in a few weeks except we are going to use snack credits for lunch most days and eat at signature restaurants (2 credits) for supper. DH thought the DxDDP was too much food but I loved it and we are doing it again Jan1st -12th  Have fun:thumbsup2

We always do a character meal for breakfast. We love the buffets, seeing a bunch of characters, and we make early ADRs so we get into the park before opening. We love getting pictures without crowds and not having to wait outside to get in.

Thank everyone for their input. I hope everything works out for us to be able to get what we want. I thought about only doing Akershus once since my son is not that enthused abt the princeses, but my husband wants to do breakfast and supper as the foreign cuisine is of interest to him. Not to mention seeing Jasmine. :scared1:
