Character dining voucher from GetAwayToday

I am considering buying the Premium Dining vouchers from GetAway. It says the the "GatePrice" is $55 for Adults, does that mean I can use all $55 towards food and drink? We have booked lunch reservation at Ariel's Grotto. The lunch price there is $40. With the voucher, can I order $15 worth of drinks (non alcohol) in addition to the food? Can someone used the voucher in the past please advise?

The gate price they list is a load of c*@p. There is no character dining gate price. The actual retail cost of the voucher is $46 for the adult premium....that is the amount that will be applied to your bill if you choose to use it at a non-character dining location...not $55.
If you use this at Ariel's Grotto, the voucher will cover the cost of the food and non-alcoholic drinks at Ariel's Grotto for breakfast and lunch only.
AG lunch is currently 41.99 - with tax and tip, the total comes to $52.91. Since the GAT vouchers include tax and tip, you save roughly $6.91 in this instance per adult.

How much is tax? Trying to figure out if I should try out vouchers at BB or goofy's breakfast. I came up with higher than $52 based on the 41.99 at Ariel's so maybe I tip too much? LOL

Tax is 8% so it would be about $3.36 and the 18% tip is about $7.56 = $52.91
You loose money if you use them for GK breakfast...the total there with tax and tip is $41.06, so you lose about 5 bucks.

Thank you. I must have seen 18% tip somewhere and interpreted it as tax. I was adding 20% tip to 18% tax! Makes more sense now. Thanks
