Just wondering if anyone here has tried the Halloween Goofys kitchen offering and if it was any good/ worth the extra price?
What are our thoughts on if they will do something similar for the Holiday time?

Also is Plaza Inn Character breakfast THAT much more popular than all the others? Looking at reservation availability, and for Storytellers and Goofys there is plenty of availability on many days, but for Minnie's Plaza Inn, there is no availability on any days that bookings are able to be looked at.
I know it is a popular choice but wouldnt have thought it was that significantly different.

I'm not familiar with this. Are the characters in Halloween costumes?

Goofy’s Kitchen hasn’t started the Halloween meals yet. I don’t know the exact date, but it is sometime next week. Maybe the 20th? I just know we had to cancel one for Saturday because it wasn’t actually the Halloween meal, so we scheduled it for a week from Saturday.

Yes, Minnie’s is way more popular than the other two because it is the only one inside a park and you usually see more characters. Just keep checking for dates. You can usually pick up cancellations, especially a few days before you need it.

Here's what it says on the website:
"Book a meal at Goofy’s Kitchen to celebrate Halloween—and dine with Goofy and some of his friends in their creative Halloween costumes!

In addition to special Character moments, enjoy special food items prepared just for the Halloween season—with enhanced menu offerings for brunch and dinner; themed décor and music; Disney PhotoPass digital downloads; and a Halloween-themed button."

And yes, I should have read more closely, doesnt start till Sept 21st!

I’ve been to Minnie’s and storytellers brunch. Wayyyy preferred storytellers. We had so much time with each character. Minnie’s-not all of the characters even stopped at our table.

Haven't done Minnie's, but that 's because we have generally used character meals like Storytellers/ Goofy's on days when we did not intend to enter the parks.. .eg leaving or arrival. I recall you have a decent amount of park time, so you might not mind but it always seems a waste of good touring time!
As for holiday meals, we haven't seen one there around Christmas time, but it's a couple of years since we were there at holidays. So someone else might fill you in.

If it helps at all, we just did Plaza Inn breakfast last week (09/12) and have done Storyteller's in the past. Comparatively, my personal opinion is that Plaza Inn is more popular because of it being inside Disneyland, and also because (at least in our experience) the character offering being a wider variety.

Last week, we met Minnie (outside first as you walk in), Pooh, Tigger, Chip, Dale, Suzy, Max, Pluto, and at Storyteller's we met Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. Depends on what one values I guess - we did appreciate more characters and some of them being more nuanced.

However, IMO, Storyteller's has the best buffet food relative to Plaza Inn breakfast and Goofy's Kitchen. For us it wasn't actually particularly close. All that is to say I don't think our 4YO daughter would say one is inherently better than the other, and for us, the food was a much bigger win at Storyteller's.

We really like the number and variety of characters you see at the Plaza Inn. The others just seem to be the same 5 standard characters you see at any WDW character meal. Plaza Inn typically has more characters and usually at least 1 or 2 that are different from the last time.

We did Plaza Inn on Labor Day weekend and saw Chip, Dale, Perla, Max, Daisy, Minnie and Tigger. Pluto was there, but he completely skipped our table-- he did every table in the room but us. We were in the corner and I think he just didn't see us. It became a family joke that we were snubbed by Pluto. We had to get Daisy and Tigger's attention or they would have skipped us too. Daisy came running over and was very apologetic she almost missed us--- she was really cute! I think we were hard to see.

I am also wondering if the character meals change or increase in price for the holidays. We will be there Dec 27 & 28
