character dining questions?

Hi all,

We are thinking of doing a few character meals during our visit to Disneyland... Was thinking of Minnie and Friends, Goofy' Kitchen, Surf's up with Mickey and Princess breakfast/ lunch. In addition to these...also thinking of doing the dessert option for Fantasmic..

We are planning to be in the parks from tuesday to friday..

We were thinking of doing Minnie's and Friends after a Magic Morning.. is that a good idea?

For Goofy's kitchen- need advice if it would be better to go for breakfast or dinner.. Would the characters differ?

Do you think that the above is just too much character dining??
The reason we are planning the above is so that our kids can get character interactions without having to wait in lines( trying to avoid meltdowns)

DD (5) loves the characters. We were there from a Saturday to a Wednesday, and we did Minnie's breakfast, Goofy's for dinner, and Ariel's lunch for the Princesses. It certainly was not too much for DD. Minnie's is great! I would put it on your must do list. We think it is the best character meal of WDW and DL combined (and we have been to a lot of them). I think it would be fine to do it after a Magic Morning. We like to go around 10 when the breakfast crowd is slowing down. When we were there in June, we saw 11 characters! I can't recall ever seeing that many at any character meal.

We like Goofy's kitchen for dinner, but I've heard breakfast is good too. You never know which characters you are going to get anyway, so I don't know that it makes much difference which one you pick. We did the earliest reservation this June, and it was great. Because we were one of the first tables seated, the characters did not have that much to do yet, so they spent a lot of time playing with DD. We had some great character interaction there. We had a great time there last year too, but our reservation was not as early, so we didn't get as much time to play with the characters, but they were still great.

We love the Fantasmic dessert package. We did it last year and this year. I like not having to stake out a spot for Fantasmic for hours and actually having a chair! The CMs treat you like royalty too.

CHARACTERS DON'T REALLY DIFFER, I PREFER BREAKFAST. THIS ONE IS ALSO GOOD FOR A LATE MORNING BRUNCH AFTER A MM OR EARLY MORNING IN THE PARKS
