Hi everyone,

I went to Disney World several times so far but I only tried Character Breakfast last month in Disneyland (we actually did two!!!). Me and my girlfriend are returning in Disney World in one month from now and we are planning to try one of the Character Breakfast.

Here's my question : if we don't have kids, which Character Breakfast do you recommend?

Thanks

The wife and I will be going to our first character breakfasts in a few weeks...both at Chef Mickey's and Donald's Safari joint, because we couldn't choose between the two.

Our 17-month old is staying with his grandparents for the trip.

We'll be the lone adult couple in a sea full of kiddies!

:thumbsup2

I vote for Crystal Palace (Winnie the Pooh and Friends) or Tusker House (Donald & Mickey and friends). Both have really good breakfast food!

I'd just like to add that you're going to have so much fun! Not to mention being able to walk out of those crazy restaurants full of kids and not having to take any of them with you! :rotfl:

Donald's Breakfast-o-saurus at AK was probably the best experience for us. We haven't done Chef Mickey's at breakfast but we had a great time at a dinner there.
As two adults DH and I were completely ignored at Ohana breakfast. Stitch came by for a quick picture, but Lilo never did.

We have been to all of them except Tusker House and love Cape May, Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace

My vote is for the Crystal Palace. Love the food.

we enjoyed Chef Mickey's, have always enjoyed Crystal Palace too. Have never been ignored by characters at any of the the character dining meals...even when we would have preferred it:rotfl:

The best breakfast buffet would be at Boma, though...not characters but the food & selection was much better.

I would definitely recommend the Crystal Palace. i have been to many character meals with kids and without, and i found that the CM's at CP are the best at making just as big a deal for adults as for kids. Also the food is really good, and the restaurant is just so pretty !!! all that glass, and so light and airy!:love::love:

My DH and I do character breakfasts without kids every trip. We enjoy CP (love the puffed french toast). We also like Chef Mickeys, Cape May & 1900.

I took my nephew to Cape May Cafe (Beach Club) when he was a senior in high school. I didn't feel out of place for not having young kids with us. We took pictures with every character who walked by. Minnie played tic-tac-toe with him on the placemat, and he said she cheated!

It was not a madhouse at all. People helped themselves to the buffet, and the characters wandered around the room.

I would definitely go there again, with or without kids.

I've eaten at TONS with friends and family, and my DH and I have been to MANY and we don't have kids yet! We've done CM (Chef Mickey's) for breakfast on our anniversary and LOVED it! CP (Crystal Palace) for breakfast and LOVED it, Akershus for breakfast and that was declared by my DH as his fav fooodwise:rotfl2:, eaten at LTT (Liberty Tree Tavern) twice and that was MY FAV (it's too bad they don't have it as a character meal right now or we'd be eating there in Dec). Hmm let's see...OH we also LOVED Garden Grill! LOL we always seem to enjoy eating with the characters! The only one that I wasn't as impressed with was CRT (for breakfast). We ate there about 3 years ago because I begged to eat in the castle, and it was ok. Food wasn't special, princesses were very rushed, but I did LOVE the view we had of Fantasyland! For our upcoming trip in Dec we have ADRs for several character meals:

1900 Park Fare (for dinner)- I've eaten here for breakfast twice. Once with a friend and once with my sis and the food at breakfast was WONDERFUL! The characters are great too! I wanted to eat with Cinderella and her stepmother and stepsisters this time.

CP (for dinner)- As mentioned earlier, DH and I ate here for breakfast and really liked it. I love the Pooh characters!

Cape May (breakfast)- My sis and I ate here during spring break and we really liked it! The characters were GREAT and it seemed somewhat less hectic than some of the other character meals. Also I really liked the bread pudding:goodvibes

Donald's Safari Breakfast- This will be a first for us.

So as you can see we're not afraid of being a party of just adults lol. Hope you have fun with whatever you decide!

Thanks for all your answers. I believe we'll go with the 1900 one with Mary Poppins and friends.

Any review on that specific one?

We have eaten at 1900 Park Fare several times and we love it. Make sure you try the strawberry soup, it is great! The restaurant is nice and the food is very good. My DH and I had dinner there last year for our anniversary w/o kids and we had a wonderful meal and the characters still took time with us.

Have a great time!

I also recommend Crystal Palace. DH and I go every trip, and we don't have kids. The character interaction is great and so is the puffed French toast!

I see you've made a decision, but I have to throw in one more vote (for the future) for an early breakfast at CP - good food, lovely atmosphere, and got hugs and pics with all the Pooh Crew (I got up for a photo with Pooh, and then he tried to sit in my seat and finish my breakfast!).

DH and I don't have kids and we love CP and Tuskar. The food at both of these places is really great.
