Character Breakfast Resort Buses?

I read that there are Character Breakfast buses that start arriving at resorts at 7 am to bring guests directly to resorts and parks.

We have a reservation at 8:30 am at Kona Cafe for breakfast and we are staying at POFQ. I am worried about the timing of taking a bus to a park then either bus or monorail to Polynesian. But if we can just get on a character breakfast bus even though we aren't attending the 'Ohana character breakfast, it would make things easier. Is this possible?

The short answer is - it depends. YOur ADR isn't real early. That means the busses may be off their "Character Breakfast" routes by the time you get on the bus and on their regular routes (especially if MK opens at 8AM that day).

If MK opens at 9AM that day, get on the MK bus before 7:30. Tell the driver you have breakfast at the Polynesian. He MAY be able to drop you off right at the resort (and be early for your Adr). If not, you would need to take the monorail to the Polynesian.

The word here to note is "may". The character breakfast buses are still buses to the parks. They don't go to specific resorts to drop you off unless they have the time to do so.

Your best bet is to take the MK bus and then boat or monorail to Poly. If you want to get there fast, take a cab.
