Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has some suggestions for character breakfast/lunch, that have princesses. I looked at Goofy's kitchen, but it seems expensive.

Thanks in advance!

Breakfast is always going to be less expensive. Storyteller's might be a little less, but you see fewer characters. Plaza Inn might be less, but I don't think I've seen any princesses there.

The only location with princesses is Ariel's Grotto, but that won't be less expensive.

Goofy's definitely doesn't have princesses since they have the same 5 all the time now (Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale).

Yep Ariel's Grotto is going to be your only option for princesses. We've done all the character meals and have only seen Jasmine once at Goofy's, other than that, no princesses.

You won't find Jasmine at GK any more. That changed last fall.

We had lunch and the price was $39.94. I didn't see prices listed anywhere & forgot to ask as I felt rushed the entire time I was there. Honestly I am not impressed with the experience at all. The food was great. We had the tritip with mashed potatoes & veggies. Dessert was delish. All cooked the way I wanted it. It was the character experience that was terrible. We got rushed thru & it wasn't even a busy time of day it was at 4:30. We went to meet Ariel & everyone got to take their turn taking pics with Ariel (the reason we came was to see her) & when it was our turn it was like done in 2 minutes. I gave the lady our camera to take pics I wanted on of my daughter & then one of both of us. But she missed taking a pic with my camera cuz she was busy talking to other customers when it was OUR turn. Then she rushed me off before I even remembered to hand her my pass to add onto profile so I could load and print the pics at home. Instead I only had the option to buy the pic $35.... I was pretty upset & tried to tell our waiter but he said he didn't handle that the picture people would be by my table & they said it was too late by the time they came by. Either purchase the pic or no pic. I was also upset because the other princesses although nice were in a hurry as well. They only took a pic with my daughter not both of us. I also found out later that we should have received a button showing we attended the experience but didn't get one nor did we want to walk all the way back to get one. I've never experienced this before with character meals at WDW and I won't waste my money on $40 plus required gratuity on something like this again. It was a complete waste. I also wanted to sit inside but they wouldn't let me wait for an indoor table where we could experience the full experience of the oceanic decor. I won't go back here again. Also my daughter said she saw Ariel with this face like can we get these pics over cuz I'm tired of doing this & then would smile when we were looking & talking to her..

I'm sorry you had a disappointing visit to AG. Unfortunately that's a risk at any character meal, either at DLR or WDW. We still do the character meals, but have had great experiences, along with not so great experiences.

Always check your photos on your camera when you sit down. If you don't like it, or didn't get what you want, I would not hesitate to go back and explain. I'm sure they'd let you try again. It's part of what you are paying for.

We got bad photos once at Cinderella's Royal Table and told the photopass attendant we wanted to try again. They arranged for us to go back and try again.

We did lunch at Ariels last October. I was impressed with the time the characters spent with us. It was just my teen dd and me. We got pictures with just her and each princess and all three of us. I thought they might try and rush us because we were both older.

We did sit outside, but that's where we wanted to be as the weather was great and it was nice to be near the water.

I think this may be part of the issue. My DD is 18 and of course I am much older as well. But she is a huge fan of the Little Mermaid as she has always been. We had good experiences at WDW at all the character meals. We didn't go to the princess meal just several of the other character meals. They were all great and took their time taking pictures with everyone. They even came around a 2nd time for pictures and hello's and the restaurants were very busy not like this restaurant which wasn't busy at all as it was 4:30 which was in between lunch and dinner time. I am not giving up on character meals just not going here again.
