I have checked prices for character bkfts and they all have a price listed for 3-11 year olds. Will my two year old simply go in and eat off of my and his moms plate or how does that work.

What is your recommendations for the character breakfast to try?

Thanks

We have book breakfast at the castle. The CM on the phone told me my dd was free and she would be given a childrens plate. We have also booked the Ice cream social at EPCOT. From what I understand there is alot of character interaction because the crowds are low.

We took our son there twice and he had a great time...first time he was 15 mo., then again at 28 mo. It was his first interaction with the characters. The first time you could see Mickey came up to him slowly, sat across from him, and let my son reach out first. It was a great introduction and my son now loves the characters (although this could easily change next time).

The Contemporary is nice cuz you can park there, have breakfast (I'd suggest a later PS so it's not too crazy or rushed), then hop the monorail to the MK. The food was fine - large variety of standard breakfast stuff with some special things. We saw Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale, Mickey & Minnie.

Here are some good reviews:

There's no charge for under 3 yr.s. You can make a plate for your child - they don't have to eat off of yours.

Enjoy!

When my DS was 3 we took him to CP for the Pooh characters. He really enjoyed that as he was very familiar with them and the inside of the CP is very pretty.

Hi,

Our dd is 2.5 and I was told when I was calling about PS that she would be given a child's plate at buffets without being charged. I am glad that Disney does this considering many toddlers are light and picky eaters (at least mine is) and it would be a total waste to buy even a child's meal for her. We're planning on 2 Character Breakfasts (Crystal Palace b/c of a fanatical love for Pooh and Piglet) and the Princess' Breakfast. We decided not to do any evening character meals because she *may* be a bit cranky in the evenings and less willing to interact with characters. We also tend to be big breakfast eaters and much lighter in the afternoon and evenings. HTH

We took our 26 month old and 7.5 year old daughters to Crystal Palace and Princess Storybook Breakfast over Thanksgiving week. The Crystal Palace was chosen for my 2 year old. She just loved it. Piglet stood near the Buffet and people came up to great him. My little one wouldn't leave him alone!! It was great. They have a little parade around the restaurant for the kids that was cute (my 2yo was too young for that). We had reservations at 8:30am and got to walk into MK while it was all empty. It was a great experience our first day at WDW.

The PSB was chosen for our older daughter. Our little one enjoyed the attention of the princesses but did not really understand who they were. She was a younger 2, perhaps an older 2 might have a different appreciation. She definately appreciated the Pooh characters.

Oh, the food was MUCH better at the Crystal Palace then the PSB.

The Contemporary is nice cuz you can park there, have breakfast (I'd suggest a later PS so it's not too crazy or rushed), then hop the monorail to the MK.
You can park there all day if you are staying at the Contemporary resort, otherwise you get a 3 hr pass and then they tow your car.

At 2 1/2 my DD loved the characters at Crystal Palace (we had lunch that trip, but have their breakfast since then and the food is yummy). If he is more into Mickey and the gang I'd suggest Donalds Breakfastosaurus at AK.

We did PSB, CP and Donald's Breakfast with a 4yo, 2 2yo, 2 11mo DGDs. The 2 yos differed in their reaction. One was born to be a princess and loved the PSB. The other was less inpressed. All of them enjoyed Pooh and friends as well as Donald and friends. The only dinner CM we did was Cindy's Gala Dinner at GF. We made the earliest PS available. The older GDs loved it. The look on their faces when Cindy came by was priceless. The Fairy Godmother was special. We have not been able to get CRT PS, this meal was a good substitute IMO.
The littlest DGDs will enjoy it more next time.
