Just wanted to get some feedback on the character dining at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. We're scheduled to be there at the end of the month and we booked this vacation at the last minute so there weren't a lot of options for reservations.

Thanks!

we love it! we went last year and we are booked for breakfast and dinner this year! (the breakfast has characters, the dinners do not)

We really enjoyed our breakfast there. Great interaction with the characters and the food was really good. We do not normally care for buffets, but we loved this one.

We've done the Cape May character breakfast twice -- Dec. 2007 and October 2008. Even though we'll be staying at Yacht Club again in August, we won't do this breakfast again.

Neither of our experiences were great. Both times, we had ADRs right at opening and the CMs were very disorganized about getting people seated. Anytime I have to wait, and wait, and wait to get my first cup of morning coffee, it makes me cranky and I admit that I use this as a measure of a good place/good service (if I'm half-way done with breakfast and the coffee STILL hasn't shown up -- not good  ).

We found the character interaction minimal and rushed, the buffet choices lackluster. It all depends, I think, on what's important to you. If this is your only option for a character breakfast and that's high on your priorities, go for it and hey -- it IS only breakfast. If you love breakfast and don't care that much about characters, I'd say the breakfast at Kona at the Poly is head and shoulders above this in the food (and coffee!) department.
