Character Auditions For Disneyland

I don't really know where to put this, so i'll put it here.

So how do you set up a character or character look-alike audition? I'll be doing the CP, so can I just set it up when I get there?
I'm being encouraged to go out and try for a character, and I think i'd be a nice experience. I've already read up on the site for audtions and what-not for DLR, but I want some personal experiences and thoughts from either WDW or DLR. My cousin used to work at the park, and just went and tried out for a character, so I don't think it takes too much?

What are the requirements? I am 5'2", what charater/look-alikes can I be eligable for? And all that good stuff....

last i heard they werent doing character performer auditions currently in DLR, at least thats what the lady at the presentation said...which is part of the reason i picked WDW..i wanted the option ya know. but that could have changed.

5'2 is is like a "mid range" its not exactly the special range but not exactly the "generic" range either...as far as the character height match up i dont know for sure. but im sure many others can help. good luck!
