Changing vacation date after 31 days

My vacation is scheduled for sept 29th however, the girl that is supposed to cover for me gave her two week notice. And I don't think that I can find and train a replacement in that time frame. What is the rule for rescheduling this close out?

Your points used will go into holding, and will then only be able to be booked within 60 days of travel. Hopefully you aren't too close to the end of your use year.

thank you for your quick reply the next problem is will I be able to get a room a week later and then change my hollween tickets

That you wont know until you call MS. I'd probably wait and call MS after you know ALL the changes you need to make, and have your dates nailed down. FYI, that will be in the VERY popular F&W festival time, and there is not going to be much available anywhere in DVC, so you might have to waitlist or take what you can at ANY DVC resort.

You will not get another week in place of yours at this late date. I would just go to WDW and make up the work when you get back. Tell your boss that your vacation is set in stone and cannot be changed! Tell him your family is set to go and that you would lose a great deal of money if you cancel. Think of yourself for a change. This wasn't your fault and you shouldn't be punished because someone else was irresponsible.

I pretty much agree with that statement. Few places of employment would require you to miss a scheduled vacation where you have made travel arrangements etc. so close to the date of travel.
