Changing Reservations

I need some advice....

Our group (10 people - 2 families - 3 rooms at CBR) booked through the Heroes Salute (2 ground zero workers) back in January. At that time calling CRO was impossible.....30 minute waits on hold.....being passed all around until we got to the right person (department?).

Anyway we were originally quoted one price which included our LOS passes but by the time we called back to book (were trying for cheaper at the All Stars but since they were booked on the dates we needed we now have CBR) we just booked the 3 rooms figuring we could buy LOS when we got there........here is the problem.

We really want LOS....but have been told that since we didnt have it on our original reservation we will have to CANCEL our first reservation and rebook (I am assuming through that agency that handle the packages?!) I AM AFRAID TO DO THIS....I know that most resorts are FULL during this end of April period. They told us if we do not do this we will not be allowed to buy LOS with the discount when we get there.....

We would have to have it paid for ahead of time and that is OK...but I am afraid we will "lose" our rooms somehow in the transaction.....any advice. I have never been able to afford to stay onsite and may never be able to again. I have always wanted to go wherever whenever we wanted to. Our friends have always done it this way and I think they will be disappointed in having to PLAN our days.

Any ideas, suggestions, etc.

Should we just go and buy the hoppers or has anyone had experience with something like this??? I know the Military has a similar program going on too.

Here's my suggestion - call CRO and try to book the room and LOS passes - if you can get what you want THEN tell them you have another reservation to cancel.

Or, if the CRO person sounds nice - explain your situation that you don't want to loose your reservation, but you want to have LOS - see what they can do. It was a rough time for CRO in January - during my recent calls they've been much better.

I will try that but unfortunately I dont think there are ANY rooms left at the time we are going (and airfare has already been bought). Thats why I am afraid to cancel my rooms and release them back into the system even for just the few minutes it would take for the reservationist to grab them back up for me.

You may want to concider getting park hopper passes then. Although I'm really pretty sure you can buy the LOS passes when you check in. Try calling this number: 407-824-4321 - it is the main line for WDW info. They might be able to help.

You can also try to call the resort directly - I believe the DIS has resort phone numbers, but so does Deb's page (linked below).

Look at the various prices and complare that to what you plan on doing/seeing - and go from there. You can also call 407-WDISNEY and just ask about tickets. There is some ticket info here: http://www.wdwig.com/ticket.htm#3

I just called WDW info - you CAN buy LOS passes at check-in. I'm not sure about your discount since i'm not sure what that program entails - but you can call and find out - 407-824-4321. They were Very helpful!!! Deb's page has some LOS/Ultimate Park Hopper ticket prices so you can compare to what you were origianlly quoted.
