Just a quick question about the above... We are supposed to have 5 people in our party and I have already made our PS's for the end of the month with that number. But, it's looking like my step-daughter won't be going with us, so there will only be 4. I don't really want to change things right now...am hoping that I can change these numbers just before we leave, just to be on the safe side with the number of people in the group. I belive I can change this up to 48 hours before...am I right? I'm sure someone out there can help me with this - you are all so great!!

Dana

PS - If I do end up changing the number, I will actually be changing my CRT ressie's from 6 to 4 (I took someone else's cancelled CRT ressie and had to put a deposit down for 6). If I do this, it will possibly open up 2 spots on 11/26 if anyone is interested!!!

Other than changing the CRT, I really wouldn't worry about it. People, (including myself) do it all the time. People get tired, or grandma wants to take a nap, kids want to swim instead, etc...

I think it is a bigger deal to ADD rather than SUBTRACT.

Now, from a deposit standpoint - that is another story - definately deal with that ahead of time.

Dana,

If you are happy with the PS Date and Time, do not change it. Let's face it there are LESS Tables of 6 than Tables of 4 in most places. You already have a PS, if you call to change it, you risk being told that there are no tables of 4 available at that time or even worse date. Then you are stuck.
And the way Priority seating works, you really don't have a table set aside waiting for your arrival, you have a next table, of your required size after you arrive and check in at the podium.
I suggest you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your PS and inform the staff that your are booked with a party of 6, but unfortunately one (or two) of the party was not feeling up to dinner tonight and they decided not to come.

Now, I would not suggest this if you had a very large party booked (8+), in that case most of the time they seating staff is working very hard to insure that they will be able to seat your quickly when you arrive and a heads up on a party size reduction will save them some headaches.

Also, I would not try to go the other way either, don't book a table of 4 and arrive with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Mary.... changing from a 4 to a 7+ is not something the seating staff will be prepared for, a call is suggested.

BTW, while I got you on the line....... <G> Babies count as a party member even if they are not eating. Unless you are going to hold an infant on your lap the entire time, please make sure to count the baby. This is so you get a proper table size to fit the highchair and or stroller.

::whew::
